Didn't he and some rapper just settle their lawsuit? Mr. Knievel being the plaintiff.
He was a staple of the 70s.

For my seventh birthday, my parents gave me my first watch: an Evel Knievel watch. I wasn't a big fan--and I often suspected my parents of getting it for me to encourage me to be interested in "boy" things; nevertheless, that gave him a special place in my heart.

This is sad another legend from my childhood gone.
I remember a couple of years ago I was helping my brother dig a drainage ditch by the barn for my dad at the old homestead when we uncovered an Evel Knievel action figure we had lost when we were kids,and the childhood memories came back of when our favorite uncle who had recently passed at the time had bought us one each for christmas and how we used to play with them.
It's just to bad we didnt find the motorcycle.
RIP Evel you were one of a kind.

RIP Kayne (or however you spell it) West. Evel sued him over the use of his image on one of West's albums or in a video.

Watching a documentary from 2005 with a lot of great footage and Evel doing most of the storytelling himself. Absolute Evel, aired on The History Channel this weekend. Glad I caught it. Brought back a lot of childhood memories of watching his jumps on TV, especially the Snake River attempts.
