Saturn Girl was always a shameless hussy but the innocence of the silver age reader along with the Comics Code Authority (CCA) prevented us from realizing the true extent of this when these issues first came out.

Inspired by the Johns-Frank portrayal of Clark-groping Imra, I've done a little digging for evidence that supports the central thesis that Saturn Girl was even a bigger hussy than we believed. I'll be posting some panels along with a revised interpretation of what Imra's "Inner Monologue box" would say if Adventure was being written today without the iron hand of the CCA in the post Identity Crisis DCU.

Imra shows she's a hussy. Nice girls would never accept Brainiac's invitation to ride his big green pickle, would they?

"Sizzling circuits" is an expression that should definitely be used more.

She's certainly got quite a firm grip on his arm.

It sounds like an EDE or Cobie line to me.

The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

More important from the first panel was that Brainy wasn't exactly faithful to Kara during the silver age, was he?

There's another panel where Saturn Girl and Brainy are "shining flightbelts" alone in the storeroom of the rocket ship. Yes these facts were all hidden from us by the mighty hand of the Comics Code Authority.

On to our next bit of Hussy History...

The 'Mystery Legionnaire' who is dubbed Element Lad at the end of this story, wants to show Saturn Girl 'his power' in private. What does it mean when a teenage boy makes an excuse to go into a private room with a teenaged girl of known loose morals? gasp Judging by the smiles on Jan and Imra's faces on the next panel we can guess.

That shameless hussy, with her entire team waiting outside the door too. Now if this were a modern Wildstorm book we might have seen the panel in between the two panels, if only in black inked silohuette but the CCA once again concealed the true extent of the shameless hussy.

Well, I'm sold. This important topic must be investigated to the fullest by Tamper Lad.

Let it be said that each piece of evidence makes me even *more* of a fan of Imra.

Little known fact: Jan actually showed up to tryouts naked, but fortunately fellow applicant Interrogative Lad let him borrow a spare suit of clothes!

Back in the Silver Age, Brainy used it all the time with the girls. "Sizzling Circuits! You're wired tighter than a solenoid! No wonder I'm attracted to you. Wanna go for a ride in my space pickle?"

Sadly Supergirl was the only one who liked being compared to a coil of wire. Saturn Girl pretended to like it because she was a shameless hussy and would go for any guy brave enough to deliver a pick up line to a telepath.

Jan should have been accepted into the Legion as Michael J. Pollard Looking Lad.

And yes, I've always suspected as much about Irma. Is it too late to run that hussy out of Metropolis on a monorail?
