I thought the Shadow Directive (is that right?) had a base that was more like the Rosette.

I'm not the first to suggest this, but the view of the stolen planets reminded me of INFINITE CRISIS-- and probably other comic book plots that don't immediately spring to mind.

It was pretty, but, boy, does that scenario defy science.
