CBS revealed today the new cast for Season 12 of Survivor, to start Thursday, February 2. They also revealed a new switch up in how the game will start. The 16 castaways will be divided into four teams of four. Four older men, four older women, four younger men and four younger women. This is in addition to the already announced banishment that will happen each week where one Survivor will be sent to a small island alone where they can possibly find something that could help them win the game. The Survivors are: Aras, a 24 year old yoga instructor from Santa Monica, CA. Austin, a 24 year old author from High Point, NC. Bobby, 32, an LA attorney. Bruce, a 58 year old karate instructor and high school art teacher from Simi Valley, CA. Cirir, 35, a registered nurse from Walterboro, SC. Courtney, a 31 year old performance artist from LA, CA. Dan, a retired astronaut, 52, from South Hadley, MA. Danielle, a 24 year old medical sales representative (didn't Step have a similar job?) from Pompano Beach, FL. Melinda, 32, a singer from Sevierville, TN. Misty, 24, an engineer from Dallas, TX. Nick, financial sales, 25, from Tempe, AZ. Ruth Marie, a 48 year old director of retail leasing from Greenville, SC. Sally, a 27 year old social worker from Chicago, IL. Shane, 35, owner of an entertainment marketing company in LA. Terry, a 46 year old airline pilot and retired Navy fighter pilot, from Simsbury, CT. Tina, 45, a logging sports promoter and performer from Hayward, WI. Looks like Los Angeles and the Carolinas are pretty well represented.

Sounds very interesting!
I boycotted last season's Survivor because they brought back Bobby (?) and Stephanie. I didn't think either of them deserved another chance -- the game's the game. I had watched all 10 seasons of Survivor (part of 1, and 2 through 10) before last one, which I didn't watch at all.
Although, if the focus doesn't get back on the game -- it seems the focus is more on a bunch of TV-star-wannabees kvetching continuously in the hopes of earning air time -- I might bail out of this season. But the "four groups of four" and the exile island thingie sound quite intriguing.

Well, Exile Island sure was creepy!
I'm going to have to get used to the whole younger/older men/women divisions.
Early favorites:
Terry, the pilot guy on the older team! Daddy, will you buy me some candy?
Misty, the girl who had to stay on Exile Island. She's crafty!
Can we please dismiss:
That guy- Asian descent?--- on the older team who was barking orders.
Shane on the older team; he needs a cigarette.
The entire younger guy team. What a bunch of DA's. And the older women sure made a lame-brained move, I think. I'll wager they don't win a single immunity challenge at all, unless they step it up about 250% with Tina gone.

Well Lash, I think that next week the two tribes will combine, older/older and younger/younger.
I owuld have to say that the younger guys were all pretty pathetic but at least they sorta recognize the fact.
Misty, our former Miss Teen Texas. She is one to watch. Already thinking and strategizing. Love it.
And I like Cherie (sp?). She was funny. And man I hope no one gets offeneded, but she she is ample from the immunity challenge. And how could yoga guys shorts already be falling off of him after three days?

I feeling Misty and yoga guy. Not feeling anything for Terry-he seems kinda annoying.
I think yoga guy is playing some kind of strange strategy. I saw an interview with Probst saying that he saw two players play in a way that he could have never thought off.

[She WAS havin' a difficult time NOT bustin' out all over, during the challenge, didn't she??????] I really hope the older guys manage to just blow the competition away. ESPECIALLY seein' how clueless the younger guys were. I'm afraid, though, that Misty's bluff is gonna come back and bite her VERY soon.

How convienient that everyone I dislike ended up on that team that landed in Tribal Council tonight. Makes it easy to root for the other team. Shane is a total train-wreck. And how did that other guy get his hair into such a nice fauxhawk during Tribal council? Are they allowing product into camp now? GO, the other team!

I think Aras is hot but I have to wonder what is going on with him strategy wise. I'm thinking Shane will get his soon. He is going loony out on the island.

wow....what a HUGE disappointment and stupidy and an insult! I now officially don't like Aras and Shane at all from now on. They have a poor strategy plan! The four alliance's plan will backfire on them soon. and What's up with Bobby? Is he flying under the radar or what?!? not much talkative is he?

Something else else About Mary Hair Care Products? Each new season usually starts out slow but this one still isn't clicking with me yet. But I'm with you Lash. The team Shane is on has no one I like.

I'd have voted for Shane anyway! First he begs everyone to vote him off and he wants to quit, then he backpedals and starts spouting off about his alliance and who is going home first...
Jerk! Just go home!

Well <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">Misty</span></span> is gone. And I have to say that Nick is stupid.
Jeff: Nick, so are you voting as an indvidual or as a group?
Nick: Ehhhhh, I am voting as a group. There has been talk around camp.
Dumb move at tribal council. Never expose your alliances.

I was rather surprised that both younger guys voted with the older guys. In fact, it was that cute shorter young guy that first threw Misty's name out. I *am* glad Ruth Marie was saved though.
I'm also surprised Shane's team won immunity. That guy is honkin' nuts. He seems to be like the person you might initially be drawn to becaue of the energy and whatnot, and then-- sometimes too late-- you find out he's a lunatic.
Poor dude, having to go to Exile Island AGAIN. Even though I don't particularly like him, I wouldn't have wanted anyone to go through that twice.

It's not good for him to be banished back to back, that's for sure. He's not making friends or allies; 'course, given his tribemates, h's actually kind of lucky there.
I am surprised Misty got the boot so quickly. I guess guys are intimidated by strong women.
Just spouting off.

Shane's team is surprisingly strong-- they completely dominated the other team Thursday night.
I still think they're all crazy, though.
As for the other team, they were wrong to turn against Ruth Marie like that, and now I don't know if I like ANY of these people now.
