The review on "Aint It Cool News" says that it is so intense and terrifying that you have to be tied into your seat and your eyes have to be kept open with toothpicks.
I'm such a chicken at really scary movies. When Hallowe'en came out, I had to leave the theatre 3 times.
I've never seen the original TCM, but I think if I can get somebody big and strong to go with me, I might see this one, just to scare myself silly.

I never saw the original, but understand it's very scary. I want to see the new one in the theater, just to get scared, but I want my wife to go with me and she WON'T!

I loved the original TCM. The first hour is one of the darkest, bleakest movies ever made...I relies almost completely on atmosphere and tension. When the gore does happen its almost a relief!

I had to sneak out to see 28 Days Later when it came out. I was raised on horror movies and still love them. Although I'll admit lately the newer breed are a hell of a lot scarier than the ones I grew up with. DoD is one of my favorite horror movies, ever. First Midnight movie I went to as a teenager. Have you seen the leaked info from a supposed trailer to the remake? I read about it over at Creature Corner .

Aw, IB!!!! Now I really wanna go! I have to admit, though, that since my wife won't go with me, I need to find another date. That's because I'll probably get too freaked out by myself! I bet my brother'd go with me! Gotta give him a call.... He's cool because if I get so scared I cry, he'll make fun of me, but in front of me, not behind my back! Yeah, scary movies make my eyes water. SO!?!

You know what was really scary when it first came out? Jaws. I know it's kind of cliche now, but when that movie first appeared it was so intense. I had shark nightmares for a week. I couldn't sleep alone.

I really liked Cabin Fever. Its an interesting study in group dynamics, with a good deal of gore, a David Lynchian sense of humour and several homages to other horror films.
Not really all that scary though.
I thought the TCM remake was okay, there are some logical lapses in it that are annoying, but it does well enough as a reworking of the same basic story. Its not, IMO, as good as the original, but that doesn't mean its not enjoyable in its own right.

well i wouldn't say that it me !!! but it was good !!! had some great "jump" moments !!! from what i can remember of the original .... i thought this contained some more story elements and built on the basic storyline of the first one !!! it was most certainly more gory !!! and the set's were amazing !!! they were so detailed !!! i think that HARRY KNOWLES guy is featured in it [ a head on the side !!?? ] Matthew.

Did Jessica Biel get naked (or at least topless) in this, as some reported?
That's all I'm even mildly curious about {g}
