She rocks!
Go rent PARTY GIRL and BEST IN SHOW tonight, you'll thank me tomorrow!
And she was one of the only good things about JOSIE & THE PUSSYCATS. See it just for her scenes!

She absolutely fuckin' rocks! That girl can have me rollin' on the floor in a split sec. Have you seen the deleted scenes from Waiting For Guffman? She has this audition scene which is... just... priceless. I'm so glad you mentioned Party Girl, too! And now I may actually rent Josie & the Pussycats...
Why are you laughing at me? It's unkind, as well as puzzling!

I really enjoyed her guest appearances on Will and Grace -but I've never seen her in a movie except for Scream 3.
I really need to see Party Girl.

*hangs head in shame*
I never did watch WILL & GRACE but when I heard she was a guest on some eps a while back I regretting missing it. Can I still be gay? Or do I have to turn in my membership card? *choke!* Don't kick me out I'll be good I'll buy the W & G dvd sets!!!!!
Parker was also in a movie set in the 70s-- was it DAZED & CONFUSED? She was good there too, but the role was smaller as it was more of an ensemble piece...

This thread took a terrible hit during last month's crisis, losing at least 10 posts including Drake's full list of Parker Posey movies.
I think it's time to rebuild my Parker shrine! We're getting married, you know.

I'd recommend "Clocwatchers" and though she only has a few scenes in "Sleep With Me", they're dripping with that Posey smarmy whipsmart attitude of hers (oh, and she gets topless on top of Eric Stoltz if you're into that sort of thing...)

"Who's on top and who's on bottom now?!? WHO'S ON TOP AND WHO'S ON BOTTOM NOW???" Chortle! Oh, and Lash... when you reat the DVD, be sure you watch the deleted musical scenes from the musical... in particular, "This Bulging River." Priceless. I can't believe you prefer Best in Show over Guffman! I guess it helps to have some amateur theater experience... it helps you see how TRUE some of that stuff is. "You're BASTARD people, that's what you are, and I'm... I'm... going to go and... BITE MY PILLOW!!!"

she's great. she was the best thing about scream 3 and Josie. And she can act proper like too!
Her Guffman/ BIS/ AMW stuff is also good and i loved her in Henry Fool. (sucker for Hartley movies anyway).
Thanks for the filmography there, Drake, gonna have to track down a couple.
Does anyone remember the part she played on the Simpsons?

A Parker Posey movie I DIDN'T like... that "House of... something or other, I forget. The one where she plays a nutcase with a Jackie O fetish who is sleeping with her brother or something?
Man, I'm a big fan of indie films, and Tori Spelling whom I also like was in this movie, but I just hated it.

I forgot Drake's handy dandy checklist. "HOUSE OF YES". Not good.
But otherwise, she space-rawks!

Hey - am I too late to join the Parker Posey Fan Club? I've been a BIG fan of hers for years too. She was totally the best thing about the otherwise trash Scream 3 and so I was completely P.O.'d ...

... when she was killed off. UGH! That movie sucked! But if you want to see a REALLY REALLY GOOD Parker Posey movie - rent 1996's 'The Day Trippers'. This is a very sweet little comedy drama with some amazing writing and wonderful perfomances from the likes of Posey, Stanley Tucci, Hope Davis (another BIG FAVE of mine), Liev Schrieber, Anne Meara and Campbell Scott. A total must-see!

I guess it speaks to my own "twisted" mind, but I *loved* THE HOUSE OF YES!
If you haven't seen Parker in PERSONAL VELOCITY, you should check it out. I think it's on HBO or Showtime this month. Great performance. My favorite Parker role, in one of my "Top 20" movies, is the DAYTRIPPERS. Excellent, excellent, film.
