I recently got my issue of Adventure comics #51 featuring the second part of the adult legion story. Imagine the horror I felt when when I opened the book and discovered a Cosmic Man with an advanced receding hairline. There is still no cure for baldness by the 30th century!!!!

Rokk's hairloss was foreshadowed in ADv. #351, where Miss Terious prevents him from looking at his fortune, which was "too dreadful" to reveal!

And right Miss Terious was, in keeping this information from poor Rokk Krinn. There's nothing more devastating than looking at your hairline one morning and realizing it aint there! And the story I was referencing was of course in ADV #55 not ADV #51. Thanks for the correction

Didn't you guys watch Star Trek: The Next Generation? Baldness is cool in the future -- and this is six centuries before the Legion!

Which is obvoiusly why Picard put his hand on the top of his head at the end of the episode "Rascals" (after being a kid again for most of the episode) and sighed wistfully.
White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

Well, IIRC, someone from TMK mentioned that they have been wondering about that ever since...so they finally hade the answer for what Dream Girl saw...it was Rokk's becoming the Time Trapper.

And the receding hairline thing explains why Rokk did it: no one knows you're losing your hair when your entire body is hidden in a giant purple cloak.

Hair loss must have been a Krinn family tradition. Lydda lost her beehive in that story.
And what about Star Boy? He was totally bald on top.
Holy Cats of Egypt!

Just cause baldness is cool doesn't mean you don't miss the hair -- or other lost elements of youth.

Hmm... I wonder the Legion had a super-hairgrowth ray that they had to get rid of, like their cellular trim ray.

Usually balding characters in the Silver Age were super-villains like The Lawless League of JLA #37-38.
