Not yet. I hope to next weekend. I've been a Narnia fan since I was a wee lad, so this is very exciting.

Loved the breaking-into-the-castle sequence. But, man, I need to reread this series.

ok i got a question,..i'm guessing they're not doing the movies in the same order as the books are they? because wasn't the magician's nephew the first book in the Narnia series?

Magician's Nephew is book six. Chronologically it's book one. They're probably filming them in this order because this is how we read them growing up.

(Puts librarian hat on) LWW was the first book published, followed by PC. The internal chronology of the books was established well after Lewis started the series. The Magician's Nephew was a prequel. After the books were all published, a boy wrote a letter to Lewis asking if they should be read in published order or, what the boy wanted, in chronological order. Lewis replied that if the boy wanted to read them in chronological order he could, but it didn't really matter that much in which order they were read. The current US publisher found out about this and took that to mean that they should be presented in chronological order, so LWW, which is really the first book, is marked in current US editions as book two. Personally, I don't think the series makes a whole lot of sense unless it's read more or less in published order (i.e., The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe first). As for the order of the films, the first three have to be made while the actors are young enough to play them.

I never cared for his writing style, but have really enjoyed both films. While PC took its time to reach a steady pace, I was particularly interested in the angle of the mythological characters as aboriginals being pushed aside by invaders/colonizers.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

So I just finished reading PC again. While there was some interpretation of the source material, the only really difference was storming Miraz's castle. It gave Peter and Caspian a bit of character that's not in the book. I can see why they added it, there's not much action in the story for a summer blockbuster.
Just spouting off.

I finally saw it today and loved it. Seeing the scene where the Pevensie siblings arrive on the beach, I had one of those "That's a scene I read in a book when I was a kid and here it is on the big screen" moments. The four young actors covey a wonderful sense of various stages of transition from childhood to adulthood, with Lucy still able to cling to innocence, Edmund (who seems to have grown about a foot) accepting greater responsibility, Susan foreshadowing her ultimate fate at the beginning as she looks at a film magazine and Peter in a rivalry with Caspian that ultimately turns to friendship.
I can't wait for Voyage of the Dawn Treader!
