The GOP controlled senate in the state of New York has passed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. When Governor Cuomo signs this into law the number of gay couples able to legally marry in the United States will double. This is a proud and historic day.

There might be something to that theory. Ironically, President Obama was in New York yesterday proclaiming that his views on the issue are evolving. He was greeted by activists with signs that said, "EVOLVE ALREADY".

It's a strange feeling, being so glad it's finally here and a bit annoyed it's taken so long for a state that considers itself progressive.

Didn't I just hear your governor's course of action (hopefully not the only action) on the drought is prayer and fasting? And your previous governor was Bush?
