so over the last year i learned i was into Scifi, this sort of came to me as a great shock. to any one who knows me not so much
any way dived into it head on i think i get away with it now cause im a girl and im cute..any way to my point i found the sentinel tv show online (only the first two episodes) and i sort of like it
but here is my problem i cant find any more.
i give any and all shows three episodes before i declare if its a hit or miss with me (the show must be beyond fantastic for me to love it in one go.) i don't want to download it cause the only computer i have is my work computer i don't want to put it at risk by downloading things from a whatever site
so im toying with buying season one.the show lasted four season and no one seams to have ever herd of it
so does any one know if its worth it to buy the only season they have on dvd?
p.s. if some one knows of a site i can stream it from i'd love you forever -if i like the show i always go out and buy it once i have the cash.( i watch things over and over again for background noise at my job) i had a friend once buy a show he never herd of and hated it 60 bucks lost to him forever, and quite frankly i dont have money to spend on something i may not like

I saw the first episode, beyond that I couldn't tell you. If you do find out about it though, let us know. Always looking for a good show to get into, like Eureka.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

I know sites, but you have to have a really good filter to keep the tracking bots out of your computer.

okay i have watched about one and a half season and i have a review
its a bit cheesy-cheesy in a good way like Point break
so the set up for the idea i think is quite good. Jim Ellison is a / ex army ranger who after getting trapped in the jungle comes back with all his senses out of control, smelling things no one else can smell, seeing thing shouldn't be able to so on and so on. enter Blair Sandburg an anthropology student who has been looking for some one with this. he has found people with one or two highnted senses but not all five he is researching this based on a old legend he explains to jim a person with that is something called a sentinel
so jim goes around using his super senses to fight crime with Blair around to help him learn to control it
things that make this show a fun watch 1) season one Jim in every episode jumps on a moving something train- bus- car- and helicopter 2) very overdramic car chases- you liking watching cars flip this happens alot 3)Bromance-- at one point jim says to blair 'next thing you know you will be wanting my pin number' to which Blair says for numbers and says 'your parents birthdays' 4) lots of people from different back grounds- while the two of the three main people are white almost every one else on the show is black/ latino/ native American 5) looking back at what at the time must have been cutting edge technology- every time some one pulls out a cell phone it makes me giggle cause the phones are as big as there heads. 6) it takes place in a rainy state and when they are outside they get wet
things that could turn you off
1) how easily things are accepted 2) season 2 they have more of a soundtrack going and at times it seams placed weird 3) jim takes down a lot of bad guys permanently and never seams to have any sort of reprimand for it 4)some of he 90's lingo pops up here and there
all and all is worth the watch its funny at bit cheesy and entertaining if your looking for something with a car chase and a stupid buddy cop moment at the end of most episodes

My wife and I used to watch that show occasionally, though we weren't heavily into it. I remember there being good chemistry between the two leads and the banter being particularly engaging at times.
The actor who played Jim is one that I've generally liked any time I see him in a role. Most recently, he's played Terri Hatcher's ex-husband on Desperate Housewives off and on since that show began.
The guy who played Blair I don't think I've seen in anything before or since. He played a good part on the show, but I always thought the long braided hair always seemed out of place on the guy.
My wife described it best back when we would watch it: Jim is Captain America, and Blair is Rick Jones. It's not a perfect correlation, but I always thought that was an astute observation on her part.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

My wife and I thought Jim was kind of a sarcastic dick...but in an entertaining way. I think they kind of toned that down after awhile.
But for a while, he was kind of a mini-proto-Gregory House. More subtle, but kinda in the same vein as I recall.

the thing i found/find off putting about jim- was that every time he likes some one he wanted them to be a cop.
they all kinda have the sarcastic house thing going, i think the black guy was more house like then any other person on the show
