It was an okay issue. Kara is a totally different person within a few issues though. I don't think the story really cover it the change though. Still confusing. I did like how she saw two different legions in her head. I liked the art. This whole series has reakky gone no where. They need to get it together and make something happen....

This issue came out last Wednesday.

This is a dream that Supergirl is having while buried beneath the locomotive.

What that means in the general scheme of things is anyone's guess.

I was actually pretty satisfied with this issue. Piecing this information together with WWIII and the Action Comics annual, we now have a clear picture of how Kara got to the 31st century, a good approximation of how much time she spent there, how she got back, and why she didn't recall the trip. She now has her memories back and has good feelings about her time with the Legion. That opens the door for future guest appearances, which wouldn't be a bad thing once Shooter establishes this version of the Legion a little better. We finally get to see Kara's official invitation to join the Teen Titans. A much better fit for this Supergirl than the Legion, in my opinion. Plus, Kara is growing and becoming a nicer person. Bedard did a nice job finally pointing this series in the right direction. Now, hopefully, the new creative team can get it fully on track.

I agree, Jerry. Generally, I really enjoyed what Bedard did with Kara. (Finally, I might add.) And the art! Someone made her costume look like a parent might (grudgingly) let their sixteen year old daughter out dressed that way! Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the whole package. smile

My CBS threw in the last Supergirl for free, with the comment "You might like it. She's not a slut anymore." It's certainly an improvement but I didn't feel like a whole lot happened. The Legion scene was a nice tip, though.

I've certainly enjoyed Bedard's issues more than, say, the past year of Supergirl issues. And I like the different art... but with Bedard leaving, I think I'm going to cut this to make room for all the other stuff DC is forcing me to buy! I can keep up with her in TEEN TITANS.

Cali, I hope a little more fullness in the costume will help make Kara more acceptable to fans. The skimpy look never bothered me, but seems to have turned a lot of people off. She is a teenage girl, and should be experimenting with her look some. The bare midrift might be a little dated?

Free Supergirl comic books, Cramer? I need directions to your CBS !

I hear you, Lash. I went the other direction and dropped Titans for a few months, keeping Supergirl instead. I have to make room for Batman/Superman when Shane Davis picks up the art in December.

I liked the issue... esp. the art! The LSH 'dream' looked great; the Dream Girl appearance may not have been her recollection (since they didn't overlap), but rather Dreamy herself? Just a thought.

"She's not a slut anymore." They actually said that to you? Yikes.

There are only a couple of parts of Joe Kelly's Supergirl run I can look at. There were those two stories he did for the DC Holiday specials in 2007 and 2008, the Kandor story that featured the Absolute Power version of Saturn Queen (of course if she made Kara have sex with Ultraman I'd be wanting her dead) and the story that featured Dark Angel.

That being said, I thought for the most part Kelly's take on Supergirl could be best described as "Super-Asshole."
