No comics today.  The distributers appear to be on vacation. Two different stores from two different chains. No comics. No Legion. Maybe tomorrow.

I had to deal with a comic shop guy that refuses to sell comics on Wednesday!!
-I tell ya, that's straight up unAmerican, and unfair!...to ME!!-
Since I have to wait until tomorrow now I'll just pass his skinny butt by and drive 45 minutes out of my way and go to my old shop and give THEM my business. I hate the shop here in this little corner of Redneck Country, he can bite my...(heh)n/m.
...I had a dream last night that I got to the comic shop and they were sold out because "some guys" ahead of me were buying 6 and 7 copies each. Wierd dream, it scared me!

Comics come out on Wednesday. Have since I can remember. Why would someone not sell them on the day they come out? Too lazy to stock?

The more I think about it the more we need to all get together and start a Legion World comic store chain. SLC (hell of of Utah) needs a decent book store. And it definitely sounds like you need one to YK.

I sometimes have to come back later, when my shop gets their shipment organized into the pull boxes. Today, however, they had my books from last week, and they had to go to the back room to grab my stuff from today. They're always very nice to me.

At my old store they're just wonderful. I've been buying comics from the same guy since 1974 and he's always been a friend. I don't really mind the trip up there for comics but I was really busy today and thought I'd pop in locally instead. ...ggggggrrrrrrrrr... Yellow Smash! Yellow hates puny comic shop guy!

I didn't get it yesterday either, but with the holidays wasn't really expecting to. Cruel, since it's printed in Montreal I think... guess it has to go to Diamond before it comes back to Canada. A store that doesn't sell comics on Wednesdays? That is really strange. Reminds me of the frozen yogurt shop in a mall that closed down at lunch time.

One of the places I used to go when I was a kid was a used book store run by an old crank. He'd wait a week to put books out on the shelves, but if you were a regular you got to go into the back room the week before they hit the stands.

Yeah, this is typically Canadian, too. The American distributors have a holiday, and the books get pushed back a day. So why is my comic shop guy telling me the new books are in on FRIDAY this week?

Lightning Lad and I are in the same boat, mmdjr-- we order online from DCBS. That's why I ran out and bought and extra copy yesterday.

Generally, in France, they receive them on Wednesday and you can buy them only the next day, it gives the shops time to put them on the stand. That's what i do.
But it seems you can buy your comics on wednesday in some shops but i know only one and if i'm not wrong, it's the most expensive!
We have several shops here in Paris and the change is different in every shop.(1$=1,45€ or 1$ =1,1€, ...etc..)
