DC announced yesterday the pending (November) release of an Absolute edition of "Crisis on Infinite Earths". A deluxe, slip-cased two hardcover book edition containing the original maxi and extras.

Of note in the extras:

...how the Superboy/Legion conundrum was solved...
confused

Solved how? Crisis, as I see it, only muddied the waters that Byrne shat in even more. Every time I see a mention of how the "conundrum" was "solved" I get a migraine. Then I think of the upcoming "Power Girl meets the Legion" story and want to scream:

Keep you filthy, stinkin' 21st Century heroes away from my 31st Century Legion!

Rant over.

Anyway. Anyone plan on getting this? laugh

Sure, whatever you want RTVU! wink

Actually I still enjoy re-reading CoIE every couple of years. I just try and treat it like an Elseworlds story. What got me was just the flippant way they said the Superboy/Legion conundrum was solved because it wasn't, as we all know.

If my mailorder service does one of their deep discounts on this like they did on the recent Absolute version of Batman: Hush I may pick it up myself.

I'd be interested to read the supplemental stuff. As far as the story, I still have my comics if the urge to read should strike.

I have both the individual issues and the trade paperback, so I'll most likely pass on this one. Sure it's got some extras, but really how many copies of this series does one girl need? smile

What they're not telling is that 90 of the 96 pages of the 2nd volume are solely about the Superboy/Legion solution(s).
