Ummm... okay? And Rick, 19 was cool as usual. I know nothing about S&V, but the story did a good job of letting me know who they are without going into who they are. Not sure what's up with the FA; everybody was sweaty this month. Is it a visual extension of Angel being "in heat", maybe? Boy, she's frustrated this month... And Bumper; who KNEW?

One last  for now.  Issue 20 hits shelves today. I hope PAD has good news for us sooner rather than later with this book!

Ditto, Pov. I got 20, and it was a very enjoyable read. I won't give away spoilers, but it doesn't go how people might think.
Now if we can just get it picked up by some other company. Maybe it will be the comics equivalent of JAG.

The move to IDW is now pretty much confirmed. From Newsarama: Speaking in regards to the recently cancelled Fallen Angel series by Peter David and David Lopez, when asked, DC’s Bob Wayne said it was considered, but ultimately, couldn’t be made to work. “We understand Peter’s decision to take it to IDW,” Wayne said. While the move had been rumored, this is the first public confirmation from a knowledgeable source.

Peter confirmed it on his site:
We had wanted to wait on an announcement to have the final contracts signed (they're not) and having sample artwork from the new artist (we don't). But Bob Wayne just announced at the Wizard Philly Con that "Fallen Angel" is going to IDW, so the timing ship has just sailed from the harbor.
So yeah, "Fallen Angel" will be relaunching in December (we hope) from IDW. The first storyline will reveal the Angel's true origin and, thus, will be an ideal jumping on point for anyone who hasn't read it until now.
More details will be available shortly in a detailed interview on Newsarama.

I normally stay away from the Indy comics (only for financial reasons), but I think I may have to make an exception for Fallen Angel.
This has been an excellent series and should be continued. I will give it the support it deserves.

From Peter David's site, in reference to the above image: It's already been announced at www.newsarama.com, but I figure we should stay on top of things here as well. JK Woodward will be the new artist for "Fallen Angel," and a sample of his work is below. There seems to be a misconception by some Newsarama denizens that this is merely a cover and they're withholding judgment until they see the pencils. No, this is Woodward's style. The entire book will have this painted look to it. What you see here is what you'll be getting cover-to-cover. So this will be the new look of Fallen Angel.

If you go down a bit on the newsarama article there's a link someone has posted to some more pages of Woodward's art, and it looks pretty damn fabulous. If he can keep up that level of work and keep to a regular schedule then this is going to be one stunning book. The writing is already top notch and although I'll be sad to see Lopez go (since FA is as much his book as PADs) Woodward looks to be a mighty fine replacement.

They're saying that the first story arc of the relaunch will begin giving some bits of Lee's origin, which should be an excellent lead. I think Peter David is smart enough though to not reveal everything too soon, and to make sure we are definately wanting more. I'm just glad to see this title continue

Everything kinda came down in a Trademark PAD moment. It worked.

Well I have to say after the first couple of issues I wasn't quite convinced. But I kept reading and by the time I put the trade down I was hooked. The 'Beast' story was great.
So I went and 'found' the rest of the series and have currently read the next six issues, having just finished #12 (the first meeting between Lee and Juris in New Orleans). I wish I had picked up this book when it was being published but I will correct that when the new one starts.
