Does anyone know if these books will be regular size/ price, or will they be prestige format $5+ books?

I hope they're not too expensive. My guess is that the books won't be oversized. If you consider Quitely's pace, you know he has a hard time with monthly books. If you oversize a quarterly book, the same problem might rear its head. But that's just Superman. I haven't heard of similar problems with Jim Lee.

I'm not at all certain if that's actually good news.

Well, I wasn't that enthused about this line (even though I'm a shameless Ultimate Marvel fan), until I read that article. Thanks Scott! The bit I liked best was the zombie-plague nature of the 'new' Bizarros. This book is gonna be great.

Frank Miller? Oh... Joy.
I wouldn't wipe my @$$ with DK2... The joke, however, is on me, because I'll still buy it. I am, after all, a comic junkie.

Meh. Not a fan of Ultimate, this doesn't do anything for me either. Rather than having these top level creators go off and create unnecessary new/reimagined/whatever versions of characters, why not focus on making the 'real' books as good as possible? But that's just my humble opinion. J

Miller and Jim Lee on Batman has the potential to be genius. I really hope it turns out that way!
The Morrison article on Superman was one of the best of his I've ever read. I'm actually pretty exciting about this!

If history has taught us anything , it's that when A-level heroes & A-level talents are brought together for an A-level new series...we all know what happens next? We get B-level

I love Frank Miller's writing immensly and Jim Lee is one of the few artists that I'd buy a comic book for purely on art.
But I'm honestly more excited about the Morrison Superman book than anything--it really looks like a comic with the 'spirit' of the Silver Age in it...I'm surprised at myself for having such high hopes.

Got to admit, that Lee art looks good. Thanks for posting them, RT!
I'm still not sure about Miller's writing, but I'll check out at least the first issue, which I believe is to be a retelling of Robin's origin.

Sucker that I am, I went ahead and put this on my pull list. Here's hoping it's as good as it looks. I am very intrigued by the idea of a continuity-free comic, since it may be the only way to mass-market comics again. I can't give comics to my six year old and expect him to understand that Robin is now Nightwing, the second Robin is dead (or is he a villain now? I can't keep up), and the Robin now is the third guy. But if they can pull off using the greatest concepts from these iconic figures, I think they may have something that will appeal to both long time readers like many of us and first time/younger readers who know movies or animation but don't understand Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you.
Don't judge me!
