Okay, so it's here- the re-launch of the Wildstorm Universe. The brief re-cap for anyone not giving a damn is that DC's Captain Atom was recently shunted to the Wildstorm Universe. His return to the DCU caused a soft-reboot (ala Zero Hour) in Wildstorm.

The Authority - by Grant Morrison and Gene Ha reinvents the premiere team. One issue in and we haven't see the team, just some everyman in a red shirt.

Wildcats - by Morrison and Jim Lee, brings the Cats back with an attitude. With the first issue, we have Spartan recalling the team, Grifter having an atitude, and Vodoo getting some luvvin. Ish #2 delayed til Feb/March.

Wetworks - Mike Carey helps Whilce Portacio reform our team of monster hunters. It looked pretty but was tough to read, so I can't give ya much of a run down.

Stormwatch P.H.D - Christopher Gage and Dough Mahnke bring us the next evolution of the team. King brings together a group specializing in Post-Human threats. The difference here, the team is comprised of non-powered humans. The reboot seems to have brought back those Stormwatchers killed in the Wildcats/Aliens crossover that birthed the Authority so many years ago.

Gen 13 - Gail Simone and Talent Caldwell are rebooting the Teen Troublemakers. We get the original Gen 13ers with less campy tude and more intense characters- not grim, just real.

Anyone else giving this a try?

Just spouting off.

I'll read pretty much any Authority book and Gene Ha is one of the best illustrators out there so I'm hooked on that one at least. Got the first isse the other day. It's a slow burn prelude, we don't even see an Authority member. I can hardly wait for Issue #2. As for the rest of the titles, we'll see, I've never been intrigued by any of them before and I have a bit of a problem with Jim Lee's overly busy/hyper-dramatic art but I might try the Wildcats as Morrison is writing.

Is that a moon?
