Has anyone read any of these "Faces of Evil" stories yet? I have the Prometheus one, but some of the others seem interesting.

From the Solomon Grundy preview, it looks like Grundy's born again as much more human looking. I'm pretty sure I don't like that at this point, but we'll see where it goes.

- So apparently we haven't seen the real Prometheus since JLA. (so why was Batman screaming about Steven Hawking anyway?) I don't like the idea that J'onn and the JLA gave him a psychic lobotomy and tossed him in prison. This was quite a while after the Dr. Light stuff and Batman was in collusion this time.
- I never read the original storyline with Prometheus, but how is knowing stuff about your enemies supposed to make you unstopable? And how the hell did Prometheus get from the physical condition he was in at the beginning to the end?
- I for one hope Prometheus upgrades his information delivery method. CD's??? Not exactly cutting edge technology.
- So DC again revels in chopping off body parts or just plain tearing in half the second-tier heroes.... *yawn*

This makes it sound like i am glad my decision was to NOT purchase this. I would have gotten the solomon grundy, but the last copy was picked by a young fellow just before me. I was just happy to see someone young buying a book that i said nothing.

I didn't get any of these or have any intentions to. If there are any that are really great, let me know and *maybe* I'll check one out.

I always thought Anima had a cool schitk, even if the delivery was never great. It had potential.

Ohhh I'm glad to see there was disdain for Prometheus' return well before Cry For Justice started.

If only we knew how much worse it was going to get.

If Prometheus ever gets rebooted, the only thing worth keeping is the notion that this is someone who can counter any opponent. The details need to change to keep him more impressive rather than just "CD's that feed him information" or whatever. The only reason he was credible is because he was the anti-Batman during the "BatGod" era, so of course Batman's opposite could take down the League since Batman could. :eyeroll:

Prometheus always annoyed me, since he felt like a knock-off of the Taskmaster, who was already a knock-off of Deathstroke, and that's one tier too many in the knock-off-Olympics.

His schtick of countering others by studying their moves and pre-programmed fight reflexes has already been done, and done better, in ye olde days by Spider-man villain, the Beetle (who had a computer built into his armor that used data from previous encounters with Spidey to anticipate and counter his moves), but more recently (and more memorably) by DC's own Midnighter.

DC's teen heroes are continuing to look like the waiting line at an amputee ward, I see. They need to gather up all those missing parts and make a new hero out of them.

Hey, maybe that'll be the new Teen Frankenstein's secret origin! It's got one Roy Harper arm, one Risk arm, Pantha's head...

What, Prometheus can counter the abilities of any opponent?

So he's basically Nemesis Kid.
