Interesting new article on Rich J's BleedingCool site... he breaks down their February solicits and Marvel is doubleshipping their thirteen top titles at the same time they're giving "underperforming" books the axe. The book that's got my eye is Winter Soldier-- hopefully his solicit info is correct and Epting is far enough ahead of the launch that his work is in both #1 and 2. I'm not buying many Marvels anyway, but this won't help.

Oh, Epting's work won't be missing from any issues due to the rate of publication. Y'know, since Butch Guice is the artist & all

The double dipping is a trend I don't like as it screws up my budgeting. Marvel has been doing this more sneaky over the last year, some titles more than others (notably Avengers Academy and Uncanny X-Force). I wouldn't mind as long as I knew up front--a surprise 2--3 $3.99 issues a month is noticeable.
Its probably the main factor why Uncanny X-Force is now on an issue by issue basis for me. In 12 months we've had like 16-18 issues.
I can see the business reasons to do this but it means I have to pay more attention and be more judicious in what I follow.

Rotating artists can be a problem, too. Even when it's all the same writer, the art can really take me out of the story. I followed DnA's Guardians faithfully, but the shift in art from arc to arc was annoying...and that was a ONCE a month title. They'd go from Brad Walker to an ultra-cartoony style artist... the scene where Thanos is revealed and he blasted Phyla Vell was comical when it was meant to be powerful! So put me down as "not a fan" of gouging the faithful by doubling their top sellers potentially at the expense of the artwork.

Good point, Pov. I keep going back and forth about getting back into X-Factor, and this doesn't help. The wonderful Emanuela Lupacchino can't even draw every issue on a MONTHLY schedule, and this is going to make her miss even more issues.

Honestly, I preferred Wes Craig, especially as he got more & more Mignola-esque. Walker was one of those fiddly artists, who's solid without being really good in any respect.
