What couples do you want to see together even though you know it's not going to happen? Or am I the only one that keeps coming up with crazy pairings?

I was all for (well, still am, really)reboot Vi and Brin getting together. I don't think they said two words to each other during the entire series.

At least they were in the same comic. These days I'd like to see Dani Moonstar and Daken get together. (Assuming Daken can be redeemed, of course.) The closest these two have been to meeting is when they had small parts in that Dark Reign crossover a few months ago. I still don't know quite why I like these two together. Daken's hair alone should rule him out. Not to mention the whole sociopath thing. MAybe it's because there aren't that many characters tough enough for either one. I like the idea of Dani being with someone outside the standard X-Men hierarchy, too...

Anyway, anyone else got an impossible match up they like?

For some reason I think Barbara Gordon and the current Dr. Mid-Nite would make a great couple.

I know there is a few I've liked over the years but I can't think of any for the life of me. I've always liked the idea of a Mysa / Brin match for the preboot after all they'd been through seperately.

A good one that is out of left field like this is Kitty Pryde and Spider-Man in Ultimate Spider-Man which was unexpected and worked so well. Their post-breakup relationships has also been awesome to read. The Zatanna/Batman flirtation has also been kind of fun.

Oh yeah, here's one: Dr. Strange and Hellcat. I've always thought that could be a good match: Doc is strong, intelligent and someone Patsy could rely on, while she is fun, energetic and someone who could get Strange to cut loose once in awhile. And he could fight Hellstrom over her if it came down to it--and win.

I've always wanted to write that romance for some reason.

I love the idea of Dr. Strange and Hellcat as a couple.

Love to! I'm glad you think its a good match! My life has been so hectic lately but its finally going to start winding down after the first of the year (its like this every year for me because of work), so I'd love to collaberate.

Actually, knowing your style of writing from your other fanfics, this seems like the kind of story you'd really knock out of the park, since you know Marvel history so well and can get into the characters mindsets.

Rogue and Magneto. They were a much cooler couple (kinda-sorta, briefly, almost) than Rogue and Gambit.

Fifteen years ago, Emma Frost and Cyclops probably would have seemed like the unlikliest couple ever...

Namor and Sue Storm. I've never been thrilled with the way Reed treats her (or much of anyone, as he's turned into Marvel's version of Vril Dox), and after the crap he pulled in Civil War, she could totally do better than someone who sends supervillain 'cape-killers' after his family.

I got nothing for DC. I don't really know the major players that well, and the pairings that do crop up generally surprise me anyway. (Kyle Rayner and Donna Troi? Arsenal and Chesire and / or Arsenal and Hawkwoman?)
