I'm wondering what the general opinion of having Kon-El in the Legion?

Despite it being brief I really liked it. I've read many of my mom's old Adventure Comics, and I felt it was a nice nod to the old 'Adventure' and 'Superboy and the Legion of Super Heroes' stories.

Any other thoughts? Good or bad?

I also enjoyed having him around, although he wasn't really portrayed "true to character" as the Conner in the TT. There were some neat moments that brought back good memories of the old days, particularly the implied relationship between Mon & Superboy.

He actually read more like Kon in Legion than in TT to me. My objection was based mainly around (a) THAT costume and (b) that he primarly seemed to be there out of misplaced nostalgia for "The Old Days," where Superboy and the prebootLSH were joined at the hip. As shown by the Kon & M'On costumes...

Depends on how it's implemented. Doing things simply because "That's the way it used to be" or dumping all the characters created in the past 30 years certainly counts as misplaced.

So are you saying that your your nostalgia for the pre-postboot Legion is misplaced because "that's the way it used to be"?

I liked it.

I'm no big fan of either Superboy, but it was a nice short-term visit. Unfortunately, only for a last hurrah for the reboot... coulda been neat to see the post-Connoe Legion affected by having a 'living legend' among them (other than Lar).

No. Nostalgia's fine, in and of itself. It's when it starts to affect decisions in the present that it becomes a problem.

[And, before anyone starts, I have zero expectation of them undoing the "re-imagining." And changing that to resemble the ZHboot Legion without it actually being the ZHboot Legion would be a bad idea. Half a mouldy loaf isn't better than none.]
