she definitely needs a make-over. she should be sleek, and dynamic. lose the rat-tail, those sock-like booties, and the drab color scheme. give her some futuristic, kick-ass, running shoes. those clunky knee-pads are stupid. doesn't the speed force aura protect all speedsters from scrapes etc.?
make her logo look more like a lightning bolt with sharper zig zag, not so rounded and soft.

is Jenni part Indian? is Ognats an Indian surname?

i like the winged helmet as an idea. she should definitely posess it, even if she doesn't wear it. i would even like to see her in her mom's pink and black miniskirt and thigh high's. anythin's better than the current design.

Regarding boots, hair, skirts etc..., doesn't the speed force allow her to wear whatever she wants regardless of aerodynamics (I'm not a Flash fan, so correct me if I'm wrong)?

Yep, the speed force produces a "frictionless aura." That's why Impulse's giant hair doesn't slow him down, let alone his huge boots and wrist/ankle straps.

Running shoes would definitely be good. Little Legion symbols instead of the Nike swoosh...

I think the helmet only really works on guys, and specifically guys with Jay Garrick's football-player physique. To me it carries an "unstoppable force" connotation which doesn't work for the duck&run kind of speedster that's Jenni.

What about a feminized version of the helmet? I dunno, a winged tiara? Or something ultra-futuristic like John Fox, with stylized wing holograms just floating in place on either side of her head?

I wish KQ didn't have the buzzcut currently--I think it might work better on Jenni.

Now I'm not an expert in the speed force and "frictionless" aura... I just mentioned the flopping around and loose things as nuisances more than anything else.

Lets all agree that the floppy stuff doesn't slow her down... I still wouldn't want the floppy cuffs (or a cape) on a speedster because those things would still have to contact the body and at speeds that if they didn't cause harm, they would at the very least be incredibly distractive.

I say skin tight is a must. Helmets need to be secured and probably have some type of eye protection as well. Other than those items, I'd be game for whatever the collective comes up with.

No, I would leave the blue elements in it as it represents the color of wind. Speed seems to be represented in the colors of red and yellow, so maybe some "primary colors" colored costume?

Loose the biker shorts and cover the ears with a round covering so as to protect her ear drums from blowing out and mask the face to protect the skin and some really cool SMALL goggles to protect the eyes.

I don't care what sort of powers that the heroes possess if they are humanoid then there would be repercussions if exposed skin were in constant speed motion like that. Chapped skin, drying out of the eyes, ear drum damage and damage to the bridge of the nose too. So mask her, protect her.

No cape please, capes get in the way when one is running around like that. I like capes but they really are a bit of a nuisance. Glad I never wore one!! laugh

Drake, great pic! I really like the look to that costume!

I'd prefer long hair myself, but the red really looks good on her.

Maybe she'll get to try some new costumes for the competition. Reds and yellows are naturals for the Autumns, but I'd like to see her break out of the Flash family tradition.

Ooh! And it just occurred to me no one is using the "Kid Flash" codename at the moment!

A name which, as a friend of mine is apt to point out, is tantamount to child abuse.

"Kid - flash!"

Well, it beats being named after a vice.

I mean... as goofy a name as Valor is, at least he got stuck as the embodiment of a heroic quality. Jenni was basically saddled with a synonym for "over-indulgence".

Oh, I agree that "Excess" was never a good name for her. "Kid Flash" is still a hundred times worse though.

Tornado Tart! Alliteration is a must, after all.

Hmm. Cerenkov Chick? Or, for something even shorter than XS, maybe just C.

Jenni was cut from the Autumn Auburns competition over at Bits. I never got a chance to try a new hairstyle on her, or fun wardrobe stuff.
