Like Golden Age Comics? Wish you could read some for free? Well there's a great little site out there called Digital Comics Museum that collects all the old public domain that will let you do just that. Read old issues of Pep Comics, before Archie took over! They have Harvey Comics, issues from Quality Comics. Lots of good old stuff. You really need to bookmark this site. And if you own an iPad, you can read any issue through your browser. No need for downloading. Just click "Preview" and you can page through each comic's PDF file.

That's really awesome! I've been wondering why there wasn't a site like this somewhere.

They take great care to make sure each shared comic is in the public domain and therefore legal to share. You won't find old copies of the X-Men but you will find great old pre-code horror and crime books.

All I've looked at thus far is a page of Black Cat #1, and I'm already in love with it!

I'm totally digging classic Harvey comics super-heroes, such as Red Blazer and the Zebra!
This is fantastic!

Comic Book Plus also has public domain comics. Its setup for viewing comics is a little different (a tad easier for my particular computer setup) and different options for searching and browsing. They have some non-English comics, too. If you haven't already -- give both the DCM and CBP a try!
