I can't believe it's taken me this long to get on to Chvrches, but a friend turned me onto them just recently and they're a new fav!

Paint It, Black turned 50 yesterday. I turned 50 today. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Another Rock 'n' Roll milestone: The Beach Boys' landmark Pet Sounds album turns 50 this month. The NPR program Sound Opinions had a special report on it today.

Omg, other Chvrches fans! I first heard The Mother We Share in Forza Horizon 2 and it just works so well as a kind of youthful adventure/summer abroad song (heck, a lot of their songs do vibe that really well). Been really into them ever since.

While I don't think they're a good fit for the franchise, nor is this song, I also like the theme they did for Mirror's Edge Catalyst that came out a few weeks ago:



I heard it in a hipster restaurant the other day and I instantly thought "one of you is either a Mirror's Edge or Chvrches fan!"

Been listening to this song a lot lately, almost entirely for the chorus my Montaigne since I'm not a big rap fan.

Anything by The Arcs. I haven't heard a bad song yet.

It's been a pretty quiet Thanksgiving evening so it left me pondering what I would consider my top 10 favorite songs of all time. It took some thinking, but I narrowed it down pretty close. Order is pretty interchangeable.

Set, I've got the album by Shephard. Good album.

I have actually not heard anything else by him, but Blue on Black is just amazing. I love the blues-y feel to it, even tho' I'm hardly a blues guy.

And a favorite song with that sadly underused instrument these days, the saxophone!

I Still Believe, Tim Cappello

I saw the movie this song was in, The Lost Boys, at the theater *six times.* I may have had a slight vampire obsession. Thankfully it ended before the Twilight movies came out, which, I'm proud to say, I still haven't seen.
