Pre-Crisis, the person was a boy named Zarl Hendricks, I think. Post-Crisis (5YL) the person was a green-skinned girl whose name I forget. Though it should be remembered that that depiction was in the fever dream of a pain-addled Dirk Morgna, so might not have been 100% reliable.

It comes back to me, I think the 5YL person was named Alicia or Alisia.

Anyone want to ask a new Q?

I'll get the ball rolling again.
What is the chronologically earliest depicted use of intertron?

Was it when Mon-El invented it as Legionnaire Lemon?

Wasn't it based on something from the pulps?

I don't know about pulps, so let me now explicitly limit it to the DC Universe.
Legionnaire Lemon invented element 152, the anti-gravity element of flight rings, not inertron.

I don't know about pulps, so let me now explicitly limit it to the DC Universe. Bah! It was worth a go Oooh...limiting it to the DCU but not the Legion makes me think it might not have debuted in the Legion. Or is Chaim bluffing? Or does Chaim know that I'll think he's bluffing and...>slap< Was it what the Trapper made his curtain of time out of, even if they called it the "Iron Curtain?"

Nope, it was not the Time Trapper's Iron Curtain.
It was a Legion book in which the appearance I'm thinking of was depicted.

Was it invented when they stuck Mordru in their basement vault?
If you're reading Mordru, you still owe the Legion back rent for your stay there.

It's what the Element Lad encased the Controller's Miracle Machine in?

Perhaps, but that was still not the chronologically earliest appearance.

Not that I'm aware of.
I'll throw a hint: its appearance was in a story set in the late 20th/early 21st century. And it's a contemporary existence of the substance, not a sample of it brought back in time by time-travelling Legionnaires.

OK, we're getting into silly season here. Let me throw out a few more hints:
It was used by the villain or villains of the issue The issue was a 20th/21st century story with a 30th-century framing sequence around it

No.
I'm going to be off-line for the next week or so, so I'll just give it here, and anyone who wants can take the next question.
It was in LSH v4 Annual 2, the Valor origin story, in which the Dominator leadership caste used an inertron shield to try and stop Valor from getting to their escape rocket.
