Yeah, I think it would work better that way. I believe, on average, vowels tend to occur more than consonants, so that someone who guesses a vowel is more likely to have the highest number of letters over someone who guesses a consonant, so allowing vowels to count would make it likely that the same person keeps getting the highest letter count. In practice I don't think it would matter that much since our games are going so quickly, but still...

I'm actually okay with the puzzles going quickly. I think it's a happy medium between the games that take forever and the ones that are resolved/continued in the next post.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Hm. Okay, I think we can stick to that going forward. Consonant guesses in subsequent rounds determine vowel guesses. So the guy who guessed the vowel in the previous round must guess a consonant the next, assuming no solve. I agree that's a good way to go. Consecutive vowel guesses will be too revealing, which is good in porn mags but not on this game And I agree, the pacing in this game is just about right

This is a good idea, as the time zone differences are also biting me in the ass. Preemptive S, please

Category: Occupation _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Blacula, Ibby and Cali all had incorrect letter guesses, so no vowels allowed next round! So no S, T or N. (I understand the reasoning for preemptive guesses, but this can happen if you do! )

I think Paladin was typing his response when you guessed and thus did not see your guess.

Since I think it's *very* likely that "B" is actually correct, I'll give Stalgie the chance to guess before I do.

I think Paladin was typing his response when you guessed and thus did not see your guess. That's exactly what happened. I didn't notice that Kappa had put an entry in as I was creating that update. I saw somewhere he was going on a flight, so I thought it was perfectly likely he would be too preoccupied to post a letter. Silly me! Here's a corrected update without Quis's last guess: Category: Occupation B L _ C _ _ _ C _ D E _ L E R EDE-D(1) Quis-F(0) Blacula-C(2) Ibby-E(2) Kappa-B(1) Blacula may guess a vowel, consonant or attempt to solve. EDE, Kappa or Ibby may guess a consonant or attempt to solve. Quis and anyone else may guess a consonant. Incorrect letters: S T N M P F If none of the eligible posters solve this correctly, I will count Quis's guess on the next update.
