http://www.legionworld.net/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=851301#Post851301Invisible Brainiac's Strategy Martian Manhunter uses his telepathy to understand the powers of their opponents. Binary and Dr. Spectrum may be fast, but Martian Manhunter hits their minds long enough for Kid Quantum to place them in stasis. Smasher darts forward but is teleported away by Gates. Kinetix keeps Vance Astro busy until Martian Manhunter takes him out. Kinetix finishes by wrapping Moon Knight up before he can take anyone down. If Smasher returns, he will have to face four different heroes, all of whom can take him out from a distance.

Power Boy's Strategy Binary goes in hot either way, blasting the hell out of Invisible Brainiac’s team. Even if Martian Manhunter and the rest aren’t burned to a crisp, Martian Manhunter is surely paralyzed and out of the game.
A blast of light and fire is probably much easier for Binary to get out than for Kid Quantum to marshal her time freezing powers or for Kinetix to build a shield, much less large enough for them all.
Kid Quantum probably retaliates by paralyzing Binary … yet binary is pretty powerful and fast so even if Kid Quantum manages to hit Binary, all Kid Q can do is check Binary because Binary’s power is derived partly from huge sources of gravity … and gravity and time are related .. so I’m not sure Kid Quantum could even freeze Binary without trouble .. even if she manages to hit the speedster.
There is also a more cruel option … that binary rains fire and destruction down on IB’s team from orbit. Or flies through them at super sonic speed knocking them all unconscious … even smashing through Kinetix’s shields because Binary is pretty damn strong.
So let’s say Kid Q acts fast enough and manages to check Binary after the initial blast of fire and light, it still takes Kid Q out of the fight.
Smasher flies in to knock Kinetix out yet Kinetix keeps materializing walls and restraints as soon as Smasher crushes them or breaks free. Also a check for a short time until Kinetix can come up with something clever. If Smasher had a second she would switch powers and use her Exospex to blast Kinetix for the stun or the win.
While that’s going on … a thin beam of light is chasing Gates around as Gates teleports from place to place … Gates has to make an aggressive move before he tires and I’m not sure he can take out Dr Spectrum with a bop on the head before the light beam catches up with him. To be fair let’s say that Gates teleports behind Dr Spectrum and kracks him on the head … but only a millisecond before the crystal of Dr Spectrum (which has been shown to be semi intelligent) strikes Gates from behind taking him out as well. It’s a draw at best … if Dr. Spectrum hadn’t thought to shield himself in a force bubble.
While all that’s going on, I’ve still got to more cards to play.
Vance Astro can through objects or force beams at Kinetix while she’s trying to dispatch Smasher which will overwhelm her eventually or take Kinetix out straight away.
Moon Knight is my trump, he’s agile and sneaky enough to avoid the two powerful ladies … he can either dodge or avoid detection for the first bit at least … and a well placed throwing moon is all it takes to knock out Kinetix or Kid Quantum. Even if weapons aren’t allowed, he can pick up a rock or fashion a weapon from anything to chuck at the women. Or a dodging roll to evade counter fire and a drop kick works too. A nerve pinch from behind as well. (I don’t think I particularly need this because Astro is already an extra guy who can pick off IB’s team members at his leisure whilst they struggle with their opponents.)
No matter which way the fight goes, I’ve got more characters, Martian Manhunter is taken out by Binary, and it’s falling dominoes from there.
Emily Sivana's Strategy Emily Sivana's team enters the arena. Only Nightshade distantly recognizes any of the characters, but as there is no preparation time she can't share what she knows with her teammates. She immediately tries to head-off the Flash by using her power to fold shadows. She uses her teleportation powers to try to head him off. Magma notices that Nightshade is struggling to keep up, and summons a torrent of lava from beneath the Flash's feet to trap him, and then Nightshade teleports him to the Land of Shadows.
Meanwhile, Adam Warlock uses his quantum magic to create energy bolts which knock out Celsius. He can teleport almost instantaneously, as evidenced in his recent battle with the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, so the Flash is little threat to him. Stature grows into giant size and squashes Karate Kid. If the Atom attacks anyone, she could easily shrink down and have it end up as a battle between the shrinking heroes. Adam Warlock would assist her once he is done with Celsius.
At the beginning of the match Quentin Quire used his telepathy and quickly deduces that the guy with the funny helmet has mental powers and begins shielding the team from any psychic attacks. and linking them telepathically for communication purposes. Once the other opponents are dispatched of, he will telepathically signal the others to dog pile Mento so he can concentrate of warding off Deadman. As Quentin Quire is an extremely powerful telepath, I think he would at least be able to keep Deadman at bay until the others are all freed up and he is overpowered by sheer force and Nightshade teleports him off the field.

Blacula's StrategyOK I should probably make a couple of points before I submit my strategy:
1. I have not read anyone else's strategies (including IB and PB) so as not to gain any undue advantage with my own.
2. Other than Nightshade, I am really unfamiliar with all of Emily's characters, so I apologise if I have misrepresented or misunderstood some of their abilities (Wikipedia research only goes so far).
Now on with the show:
The Flash goes back in time and adjusts all of Emily's team's alarm clocks by an hour so that they miss the fight. YAY! I WIN! wink
No? OK how about this then:
Speed and initiative are obviously critical factors in any fight. The ability to make the first strike against an opponent is priceless. Although Adam Warlock seems to be pretty fast, I would say that the Flash (Barry Allen) still has the upper hand here since "being faster than everyone else" is his whole raison de'tre.
So if the Flash is getting the first hit in, who does he make it against and how does he make it? Adam Warlock and Quentin Quire seem to be the most powerful members of Emily's team so they would appear to be the most desirable targets. But surprise is my favourite element in comics and an invaluable advantage on a battlefield too so I'm going to use it to my advantage here. And who's my ace in the hole when it comes to surprise? Well, I've got two of them! One The Brave and the Bold three-way team-up co-starring the Flash, the Atom and Deadman coming up!
Opening Gambit -
When Emily's team see my team lined up on the battlefield, they only see four characters. Deadman and the Atom are hiding inside the Flash (minds out of the gutter people!). When the gun goes off to start the fight, Barry races around Emily's team faster than light, sound, thought and time. As he passes certain members of Emily's team, Ray and Boston jump out - Ray into Stature and Boston into Nightshade. Because of the speed Barry is going, and Ray and Boston's abilities to be a) so small as to be invisible and b) actually invisible, none of Emily's team are aware of the tactic.
Ray immediately does his nifty trick of stepping on the correct lobes of a person's brain to knock them out and takes Stature straight out of the fight. (Remember that no matter how small Stature shrinks or how tall she grows, Ray can always stay small enough to play havoc with her brain.) Boston is my key Trojan Horse though. He quickly uses Nightshade to open a portal to the shadow realm right in front of Adam Warlock, which Barry heroically sacrifices himself by dragging Adam Warlock into just as Deadman/Nightshade closes it behind them. A moment of silence for our poor paragon of self-sacrifices, Barry Allen, please people. frown (P.S. I understand that Adam Warlock appears to have teleportation powers and could theoretically use them to get back onto the battlefield, but I think Barry and his grab-bag of abilities will be enough to keep him busy in the shadow realm for a while, at least until his teammates have finished up with those of Adam's still standing in the arena.)
So to sum up, within a second or two of the starting gun going off -
The Flash and Adam Warlock have been removed from the field of play;
The Atom has knocked Stature out; and
Deadman is in control of Nightshade.
But what about everyone else?
Well, Mento and Celsius seem well matched up against Quentin Quire and Magma so they will have immediately gone after them. And even though I don't think either of my two Doom Patrollers are as powerful as Emily's last two combatants, I think that they at least have enough ability to make these battles stalemates... at least for a little while; and that will be long enough for my other three players (Deadman/Nightshade, the Atom and Karate Kid) to move in and make the finishing blows.
Celsius knows that flame and heat will be ineffective against her opponent, so she uses their total opposites; ice and cold. She encases Magma in a cocoon of thick ice to a) prevent her from being able to see where to aim her flame and geothermal powers; and b) physically separate her from the earth so that she cannot draw upon whatever abilities she gets from that. Magma of course has the ability to burn through whatever ice cages Arani is creating, but whenever she does so, Arani just creates another one.
Mento meanwhile sends wave after wave of telekinetic blasts and telepathic mind-control attacks at Quentin Quire to keep him off-balance and unfocused. Quentin Quire seems uber-powerful so Steve won't be able to keep this up for more than a few seconds, but those few seconds are all Deadman/Nightshade needs to create two portals, cutting the gap between Quentin and Karate Kid and allowing Val to close the distance in a heartbeat. Once there he quickly uses his super-karate to pin-point that big weakness in every mentally powered character, their physical bodies, and knocks poor Quentin straight out of the fight.
So when Magma finally burns her way through Celsius' most recent ice cocoon she finds five opponents waiting for her - Deadman/Nightshade, the Atom, Celsius, Mento and Karate Kid.
They graciously offer her the opportunity to surrender. smile
(But if she doesn't accept it, Deadman/Nightshade just sends her off to say "Hi" to Barry and Adam.)
