Cool ... thanks so much for that Ems! I want to ask for Smasher as well. The new female one of the imperial Guard. She's been shown pretty tough but I would put her a bit below Ultra Boy or at the same. So far I've got: Binary 50 Astro 20 I have a couple of questions for some street level characters but I'll wait until then.

Ah one more thing!
Dr Spectrum ? I think he would be close to Quasar, not quite a Green Lantern. But depends on what you think.

Thanks, I updated the thread with your choices. I will message Blacula shortly and see if he is ready to make his choices. If I don't get a response by Sunday night, we will move on to the street level draft and hope he has a chance to post before we start the Tournament.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay. Hope I haven't held anything up.
I'm busy scanning my Who's Whos for inspiration now so I'll be back soon with some choices. I've never been one for caring about power levels though so I'll probably need some input from you guys as to what levels my picks are.

How many points would the following characters be worth?
Atom (Ray Palmer) Doctor Light (Kimyo Hoshi) Shadow Lass (Tasmia Mallor) Deadman (Boston Brand) Red Tornado (John Smith) Star Boy (Thom Kallor) Celsius (Arani Caulder) Mento (Steve Dayton)
... ack! This is so hard. I could keep finding characters all night. I'll stop there.

For Kimiyo, Tasmia and Thom I think a lot would depend on what version.
Kimiyo's Crisis power levels were a lot higher than anything she has done after.
Postboot Tasmia could solidify her shadows.
Thom once had Kryptonian-level powers. Late Postboot, he expanded his mass powers to have control over gravity.

I'll say:
Post-Crisis Dr Light. Preboot Shadow Lass. Gravity controlling Star Boy.

Although I'd be curious to know how much Postboot Umbra would be worth too.

Thank you very much for your reply! I will update the thread. We are ready for the last round prior to the Trade Round. In regards to extra points (less than 10), players have two choices:
1) Buy a Character worth less than 10 points.
2) Use the points as part of a trade (for example, trade a 30 pointer plus 5 points for a 35 point ranked character)
Once we are done with the last round, I will explain the Trade Round and ask if any players are interested in trading with another player.

If I did the math right, I don't have any extra points so I'll sit out this round.

I'll beg for: Raza Longknife for 10 and Yondu for 10 That finishes me out at 150 and leaves me searching for a team name: Imperial Star Guardians Supreme! Thanks for organizing Emily ... this is going to be fun! Glad Blacs is on board!!

I'm too invested in my team to trade, even though Nightshade is one of my favourites ever!
If I had more points I would add Phastos and maybe Darkstar to make this a Space Avengers team.

I don't want to trade any of my characters but I'd love another 150 points to spend on more of them. Haha

I think I have 5 points left. I'm open to suggestions on what a 5 point character would be like. I'm also open to giving one of my character Death Ray Eyes for an additional 5 points

Options for Five Points Adding a Flight Ring to Ultra Boy (flight is an extra power so it requires extra points)
Add five points to any of your existing characters to trade for a character worth five more points than said character's value.
Character Options Your options are very limited because this is what I rate the average citizen of a planet (if they are human or if they come from a planet in which the citizens have only human capabilities on Earth). Therefore, you are limited to the supporting cast of most heroes. This category covers a handful of super-powered animals as well.
Alfred Pennyworth Vicki Vale Pete Ross Oberon Classic Lana Lang (no Insect Queen powers) Photographer Jimmy Olson (no powers, no Superman signal, nothing but his camera) Any member of the Newsboy Legion Chloe Sullivan Maxwell Lord (Pre-Identity Crisis stuff) Julia Kapatelis Helena Sandsmark Detective Chimp Congorilla

As tempted as I am to go for Congorilla, I'll just take a flight ring for Jo please.

Thanks for organizing Emily ... this is going to be fun! Glad Blacs is on board!! I thank you for participating. This should be fun, I think we'll be able to start either today or tomorrow. The first battle will be a straight-forward arena fight...opps, spoiled that, didn't I? I'm sorry, but Raza Longknife is described as having superhuman strength. He would be worth at least 15 points. Here are some alternative suggestions: Mockingbird Swordsman Elektra Madame Hydra Bullseye Silver Sable Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) Katanna Thorn II Zsasz Talia Al Ghul

I will be sending Power Boy a PM to remind him of this Tournament. If I don't hear from him/he doesn't post in this thread by Sunday at 7:30 P.M Central Time, we will proceed with the First Round if nobody has interest in making trades.

I think you can have either of them for 20 points. Which character would you prefer? We will be starting the First Round on Tuesday at the latest. It will be a simple Arena vs. and all members of the forum will be able to vote (even ones not participating in the Tournament). On other forums, votes were kept to PMs I think to prevent cheating. I would like to think people here are generally good-spirited, but do you think we need to do votes in PMs or should we just post in the thread?

I think voting in the thread is fine but we may need some rules on editing votes that are made. Should we allow or not?
