I have edited the thread to reflect your choices. Invisible Brainiac, your team is locked until if and when we have a Trade Round. We wait for thoth lad to reply to my questions regarding his character, then both of us will draft our remaining Mid-Tiers.

I'd like to get involved in this game but probably won't have time to think about it until the weekend so don't let me hold you up.

That is no problem, Blacula. When you are ready, just draft the tiers of characters we have already covered in one post, if you are interested in characters of said tier. We aren't going to be starting until we go through the Street-Level Characters anyways.

Thanks for the point estimates Emily. I really have to read the entries more, to get a better idea of points. Shape Shifting Plaz being an example. Aza Chorn is flesh and blood not unlike most humans I think. But I think there's a tolerance for pain in there. Their teleportation is more powerful than I first remembered. They haven't made too many appearances. That entry says pretty much anywhere. Which is probably more power than I need. Could I possibly have a points estimate for The Vanisher Seems to teleport across a continent/ planet. He does have guns too though (which I've never seen) but should add to the points total. As an aside, how does that work practically in a tournament? If an opponent is teleported across a planet, is that really just as effective as teleporting them to another solar system. In that it effectively removes them from the contest (occasional 50 pointers aside) So, would certain powers that remove opponents form a contest have relatively higher points values than those that don't? I'll take Ambrose Chase at 30. The weather has just made the lights flicker, so posting now ...

To teleport another character out of the field would take them out of the match, not the Tournament. Though there might be environments where teleportation powers won't be effective in order to provide some diversity to the matches. I am judging teleporters primarily on the distance that they travel- if you think I should use another method, please let me know. This is my first time running a Tournament and I respect input.
The Vanisher- 35 points, strong power and weapons but appears to be beaten relatively easily so something has to be lacking in his combat ability.
I am drafting Magma for 30 points.
Blacula, it is now your turn if you wish to participate. If you need more time, let me know so we can draft any other Mid-Tier picks sand we can continue to the street-level draft portion.

This sounds super fun ... can I still jump in? I'll have to think about some characters to draft though ... especially ones that can beat Martian Manhunter ...

Let's see I'm interested in Dev Em for a 50 point character ... and either Quantum Queen or Duplicate Boy for a 40 point character. (unless one of them is 50ish) Could do: Dev Em 50 Duplicate Boy 40 (around Ultra Boy) Quantum Queen 30 (not sure if she's closer to Wildfire or Sun Boy) thoughts or estimates? I just realized they're all pre crisis but i've never been a fan of the I can spin the Earth backwards by whistling types of characters ...

I think Duplicate Boy would totally be 50 at least copy any power? Yikes. For teleporters, may I suggest method as well? Nightcrawler has to touch someone to teleport that person, while Veilmist does not need to. If they can teleport the same distance, then I think Veilmist would be worth more points. Thanks for being open to suggestions, Emily.

Yeah, I think Quantum Queen would be closer to Wildfire too. Especially if that's the "new" Wanderers one who could turn invisible, turn intangible, split into multiple selves, fire lasers....

Yay! Peebs! I'd agree on QQ being Wildfire class. She's easily the most powerful Wanderer and would be right up there for the Legion too. I imagine that we'll get a decent feel for the points totals as we go for things like teleporters. I'll take Vanisher, so I'm not going through every teleporter ever. I'd also like Ultra Boy at 30 from the original list. Just too much fun to pass up. I think that leaves me with 5 for a street level character later.

Wow, a lot of activity happened today!
Power Boy: Thank you for entering this Tournament.
I would consider Duplicate Boy to be on a Ban List because his powers are too inconsistent from what I have seen. If he has any known weaknesses, I might consider 50 points.
Quantaum Queen: 50 Points due to majority of posts by other users.
Do you want Dev Em for 50 points? Is he Kryptonian or a Daxamite in the comics?
thoth lad: Will edit the first post to reflect your choices.
We will start the street level round after we here from Blacula and I get to draft my last Mid-Tier hero.

Dev-Em has been a Kryptonian for most of his history. I think Peebz will be unhappy that i made his characters way more expensive

I may have to ditch Snowbird for someone else ...

We are looking into the stream of consciousness of Power Boy's mind right now!
Hard to choose, right? Even after sticking to my favorites I had a bit of juggling to do.

Vance Astro- 20
Binary- 50
I am going to rank some other Captain Marvel related characters for you in case you want other comparable options.
Other Version of Carol Ms. Marvel- 40 Warbird (post-Binary version)- 45 Captain Marvel- 50 (makes up for in experience what she lost in power)
Other Female Marvels Ms.Marvel (Kamala)- 15 points Captain Marvel (aka Photon)- 50 points (she is her power)
Family Members Captain Marvel (better known as Marvel Boy)- 30 points Phya-Vell- 40 points Hulkling- 20 points
Friend and Allies Rick Jones- 7 Rick Jones (A-Bomb)- 30 Moondragon- 50 Gamora- 10 Star-Lord- 15 Quasar- 30 Mantis- 35 Rocket Raccoon- 8 Groot- 50 Drax- 40
Genis-Vell is probably going to be on our Ban List because he apparently destroyed the universe at one point. If he did that without a cosmic cube or infinity gauntlet, I can't let people use him in a Tournament.
