The Sedlec Ossuary, which is now firmly on my bucket list, is a church whose interior is decorated with over 40,000 human skeletons.

I replaced all the shitty thresholds that code enforcement required me to have in the house with the originals which look a thousand times better today.

Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

I took a long ass walk to the nearest convenience store to buy some Coke. So much for "convenience."....

I have 650 posts to go before I hit Double Time Trapper.

The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Voodoo is said to have originated in Benin or Togo. Both countries still have voodoo fetish markets to this day.

Pop vocalist "Monday" Michiru and hip-hopper Jean Grae have something surprising in common.

They're both the offspring of accomplished jazz musicians. Michiru (real name: Michiru Mariano) is the daughter of jazz pianist/composer Toshiko Akiyoshi and bass player Charlie Mariano.

Jean Grae (real name: Tsidi Ibrahim) is the daughter of jazz pianist/composer Abdullah Ibrahim (aka Dollar Brand) and vocalist Sathima Bea Benjamin.

"Time Warner Internet services went down across the country early this morning, reports indicate. The problem seems to have started around 3 a.m. ET, Business Insider says; service has mostly been restored. The company says "routine network maintenance" that began at 4:30 a.m. ET was responsible for the problem, though that would of course not explain why outages were reported before that time."

The Bahamas has finally ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, completing the Latin American & Caribbean Region.

If I recall correctly, the only UN members left who haven't ratified are Liechtenstein, Nauru, Somalia, South Sudan, Timor-Leste and Tuvalu.

From the "It's a Small World" Department:

The poster Viridis Lament's wife is - in real life - named after a character from a novel written by my great-aunt.

The houses on Male, the island capital of the Maldives, don't all have addresses. Instead, the houses have names. Some of those I've seen include Blue Jay, Gazelle, Liver Pool, N. Shady Palm, Ma. Green Garden, Echo and New Happiness.

When I was a kid
I wanted to get educated
And to college go
To learn how to know.

Now old I've found
Train going by
Will take me along
But I still don't know why.

Not just for money
Not for love
Not for anything thought
For nothing I've done--

It's got to be luck
Keeps the world going round
Myself moving on
On that train going by.

I have only had a Blue Moon beer twice. Once in Long Beach, California; the other in Makati City, Philippines with Blaze.

My grandson skyped me last night from Wisconsin. He was rocking out to Maroon 5's "I Get to Move My Jacket". Mondegreen.

Have not listened to that one yet. Maroon 5 songs I find catchy, but besides Payphone I don't feel they have the staying power that my all-time faves do.

Maroon 5 hasn't been that good in over a decade. Their newer songs just aren't the same for me.

They do seem to be degenerating into canned, repetitive pop.

I've never liked them. I think Adam Levine sounds like a parrot.

Friends of mine who watched them live say they are not all they're hyped up to be.

But having watched a few episodes of The Voice, I guess he's really good at packaging himself.
