As a brilliant biochemist, Lile Norg would have had Condo under close observation, visiting between Legion missions. I would've liked your idea a lot more than the middle-aged reporter he ended up coming back as, PB!

Robotman takes the place of Superboy, as Legion inspiration?
A hero who introduced the concept that one doesn't have to have a heart, to have the heart of a hero, or to still be human, to be a great human being.
Also a hero who never gave up, and even after his body failed, and his friends fell away, he continued fighting the good fight!

Well, if a disembodied Brain were to live 1,000 years, I'd guess it would almost certainly have evolved into a . . . BRAINIAC!!
Maybe Cliff is this universe's Brainiac I? Maybe he's found a way, using the awesome power of the pulsing Stargrave crystal, to project his conciousness into a Army of Coluan soldiers, dubbed Brainiacs 2 through 9,999,999. Now that he finally has a body, and lots of them, Cliff seeks a supply of rejuvem to keep his selves young. Keene formed the Legion in order to protect himself and his secret rejuvum supply from the Brainiac Army.

Alternately, maybe Cliff wants the rejuvum for himself, as his 1,000 year old brain as started to succumb to the ravages of age.

So, the first major adventure for our re-written Legion involves a combination of spectral force beings/wraith-mates invading the Earth, shortly after Projectra's election as leader! Mekt makes the ultimate sacrifice of his hair (changing it from red to white? Or do we want a bald Mekt?). The Legion is warned of the danger by the Evil Legion of a Parallel Earth, and receives unexpected help from the Heroes of Lallor! And, somehow, the planetary chance machine and the kiss-o-meter are both involved!

I think it's fitting that Mekt's sacrifice has led to his hair turning white. It just goes to show that no matter what Legion reality we're in (even a crazy mixed up one like ours) some things are consistent. Destiny.

I guess we should pick membership for the rewritten Heroes of Lallor?
Traditionally they have five members, so first five suggestions are in!

For the Heroes of Lallor I nominate Shvaughn/Sean Erin as Gender Kid who is able to not only switch his own gender but also the gender of other beings.

That's our five Heroes of Lallor:
1. Lard Lad (Chuck Taine)-- Bouncing Powers 2. Evillo-- Grows horns and teleports others 3. Comet Queen-- flies/emits gasses 4. Konk-- detachable head 5. Gender Kid (Shvaughn Erin)-- Ability to change genders (both her own and others)
This fits nicely with the tradition that most Heroes of Lallor have some sort of shape-changing power!

Love the Heroes of Lallor concept!
Following tradition, I think a Legionnaire and Hero of Lallor should have some sort of love interest in one another. I nominate Hot Nurse and Teen Evillo! (Pacifist do-gooder and the bad boy)

PS - I really like Robotman as the Legion's Marla Latham. But instead of a Robot, every issue his brain would be in a new groovy oddball brain container.

And also following with tradition, Hot Nurse starts out as straight but then turns lesbian.
Maybe she hung around Gender Kid too much and she/he/it accidently turned her gay because he also has the power to change a person's sexual orientation.

Here is one suggstion:
The wraith creatures are disembodied mega-telepaths... of Space from an alternate reality. They were a group of 12 (20?, 120?) Titanian wunderkind, who had formed a "Guild" and began possessing/dominating the heroes of this alternate reality in an effort to gain power throughout the Earth Imperium, the humano-centric (i.e., racist) dictatorship that rules said dimension with the proverbial Iron Fist. In their quest to gain power they interfered with the manipulations of this dimension's Evil Legion of Super-Tyrants. The LS-T's dictator, Imra Ardeen, the Saturn Dominatrix, took the fact that they were from Saturn personally, and led the fight against these interlopers. The LS-T contained the Wraith's Guild to Ceres in the asteroid belt, where, when the battle was obviously lost, the Guild seemingly took their own lives in an effort to escape the fearful retribution of Imra Ardeen! Several month's later the LS-T were surprised to find the the Wraith's Guild pulling the strings behind a devious campaign against them. It was discovered that while they had sacrificed their physical bodies, the Guild's psyches still lived on. With the help of Tinya Wazzo, the LST's Wraith, (ironic, huh?) and her weird dimension warping powers, and the magic of Starheart this reality's Vidar- a hero that had been one of those taken over in the LS-T's original encounter with the Wraith's Guild, the LS-T was able to block the Guild from ever returning to this dimension. Still feeling the burn that these were Saturnian telepaths who were not under her control, Ol' Iron Butt has kept tabs on where the Guild's travels throughout the Multiverse, and, again with the help of Wraith and Starheart, make a point of alerting people of the Guild's true nature whenever she can.
i am unclear as to when in Our Legion's history this is supposed to take place, meaning I'm not sure how many legionnaires will have joined at this point. I could see a small group of legionnaires NEEDING the help of the Heroes of Lallor. Say maybe 6 or 7 of the original eight members. I think the number of Wraith's Guild members would depend on the number of Legion members extant.
And, their could certainly be a lot of body-hopping in the final conflict with Legion members being possessed and blasting each other and such. Maybe the wraith's have already infiltrated the Legion, and they've already got inside information.
Opinions?

Nobody?
OK, here's another one:
The Wraiths are the psychic avatars of the KOoweehoo, an aquatic race from the plant Upsilon Andromadae, who's oceans, which cover almost 95% of UA, have been polluted beyond repair by Terran industrialists. The KOoweehoo don't usually interact with air-breathers, but they had made contact with the polluters to protest the degradation of their waters and ask them to cease their activities. The Terran exploiters ignored their pleas, denied their sentience, and in fact stepped up their activities. Over the course of the last 50 (Earth) years the KOoweehoo have made a point of contacting other races in efforts to win support from the interstellar community. One huge supporter of the KOoweehoo is Gildan race, who have formally requested Terran Commerce Authorities to step in on behalf of the KOoweehoo. One KOoweehoo, a young female named TrrreewhOO, travelled to Xerox and trained as a Sorceror. Her 'masterwork" was the creation of a spell that allowed KOoweehoo to astrally project above the water. Upon retuning to her native UA, it became apparent to her that her race, and in fact, her planet, was dying. In a short century Terrans had poisoned her world and she decided to take revenge upon her oppressors. She convinced her people that: a) their only hope was to take the offensive; and b) fair is fair, the Terrans took our planet, so we'll take theirs. She built a new component to her astral projection spell that allowed them to become psychic leeches, possessing/controlling air-breathers and eventually draining their victim's life force. Zymr, one of their Gildan allies, enables TrrreewhOO and an invasion force to teleport directly into Earth's oceans. Once there they begin manipulating people so as to cause Armegeddon, ending all life above the oceans.
All you need is Love (and a whole big bucket of Money).
