Don't really have a favorite from it, but I'm really enjoying the "Fallen" album by Evanescence. The cover used to haunt me everytime I saw it in the store (that girl is way past cute!!!), and after hearing good things about them around on the board, checked out some 30-second samples of their sound via Amazon. After that, I had to have the album!

Pex, you are a good man! I think the others are tiring of my undying devotion to Amy Lee's awesome voice. I've gotten a copy of Evanescence's Origin album (small label pressing, very limited) and just about every MP3 I could find. I've been listening to the group every day at work since the first commercial for Daredevil featured Bring Me To Life.

Scott, I'm more tired of the overplayed songs (the 2 of them). But, I do agree their stuff is great. I wish the radio would move on to some of the other songs on the albumn.

Have you heard the Seether song "Broken"? She does a great job there as well.

I have CJ. I bought the Punisher Soundtrack specifically for the version of the song with Amy's vocals. And I whole-heartedly admit to the overplay on Bring Me To Life and My Immortal (which got more airplay than Going Under around here). And I can't seem to get my local station to play their latest, Everybody's Fool, while I'm listening. I'm just patiently waiting for the next album.

Heh, I don't blame you one bit for listening to them every day, since I do the same thing to Ace of Base (my personal favorite band/group). And Amy does have an incredible voice, no question about it!

Ashlee has a little edge to her, unlike the chirp-pop fluff of her sister Jessica.

Lash! Don't be ashamed -- I love that song (yes, it's called "pieces of me", big surprise)... I'm such a teenage girl at heart - I'm also really into Avril's latest "Happy Ending" (I think that's the title) - Slipknot's going to have to release another single for me to regain my masculinity...

PEICES OF ME is still my latest favorite song, by the way.

The only new song that comes close to that is 1985... but it hasn't overtaken Ashlee yet, for me.

Oh, and I like the new Linkin Park single too... definite potential to overtake Ashlee's spot as my latest favorite song. We'll see.

You got something against their latest, Duality? Its one of my current faves. Along with Getting Away with Murder by Papa Roach and Vitamin R by Chevelle.

?? I loved Duality - I listed it earlier in this thread actually (page3), but that was a couple of months ago. I was saying that I've been too into girlie music lately though.

Must have missed your earlier listing of it. It just started to get airplay here about two weeks ago.

I don't know any of these songs, I'm 47 and I don't keep up with current pop music.

The song I'm listening to a LOT lately is DANCING MADLY BACKWARDS, by Captain beyond, from the album of the same name. It's from 1972.

Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved actually gives me goose bumps.

Joanna Newsome (not sure of spelling) Bridges & Balloons. she sounds like bjork on helium but it's a damn catchy tune.

also the Dresden Dolls' "The Girl Anachronism"

and for best song title Aus comedy hip hop "Your Mama's On The Top Of My Thingd To Do List".

The Killerz - "Somebody Told Me."

I don't know what I love about the song, it's just catchy and works. And the bright lights of the music video make me laugh.

The Killerz have that whole 80's dance vibe going, and it works well. It's not a retro feel, just that something missing from standard radio pop, rock, and R&B.


Great Big Sea, out of Canada, does a version of the old ballad John Barbour on their new cd. AWESOME!

Oh my god -- I'm not going to be able to get that song out of my head!! I likes it!! We'll see if the U.S. can take a Spice Girls sequel... (I couldn't tell which girl was which, but I liked the redhead in blue).

Oh yeah, but my latest fav is "C'mon, C'mon" by the Von Bondies. It's the theme song for that FX show "Rescue Me."

I've had a new one leapfrog over all other contenders! The song I look most forward to on the radio now is the latest BLACK EYED PEAS release... but a question.

I'm certain they're saying "Let's Get It Started" but when I looked up the cd there is a song listed as "Let's Get Retarded". Am I hearing wrong, reading wrong or both?

Whatever, the song is WAY good... I'm gonna have to get the BEP cd I guess.

But you're also unlikely to ever catch me turning down black eyed peas with cornbread, I must say.

I just rediscovered my best of Ian Hunter CD. There's a tune called "All American Alien Boy" that has a saxaphone that just wails.
It's a great CD if you're into older rockers at all.
