Mead is sometimes described as honey wine, though those who make it (I've met a couple) insist that mead is not wine since it's not made from grapes. But if you like honey and you like wine, you ought to love mead.

(There are various flavors of mead, too.)

Quis has it on the first guess.

I did visit a friend and we rocked out to '70s tunes (including Journey, Sweet, Split Enz, and Andy Kim), as well as some '80s.

The "Twilight Zone" marathon aired the following day, and I caught only a couple of episodes.

I figured it was either 2 or 3 because they seem like they would be mutually exclusive, while you could do #1 and ether 2 or 3.

My D&D character has the following magic items

1. A Stormrider cloak that allows me to fly 3 times a day and provides protection from electrical attacks
2. Lightning Gauntlets which allow me to cause electrical damage of up to 24 points of damage to a foe 3 times a day
3. Shield of Electricity which can once per day discharge an electrical shock that can give up to 36 points of damage

Xben is correct. I have the other two magical items, but no Lightning Gauntlets. If I ever get Lightning Gauntlets, I'm changing my character's name to Garth

Never broke a rib, never been water skiing.

I was a passenger in a collision with a police car back in March 1992 - as I was coming back from picking up take away Chinese food, going back to my college in order to watch that evening's film, "A Touch of Evil". He swerved from the oncoming lane into ours to avoid someone who'd cut him off and we broadsided him. Nobody hurt badly, but the cars were totaled, and pretty scary. He spun around into a split rail fence, and one of the railings penetrated his car and grazed him in the head, so it could have been much worse.

In my job for a low-budget TV show on Asian-American culture and events, I met Sushmita Sen, from India, Miss Universe 1994, when she was attending an event promoting some big diamond. Got to interview her briefly, and they were taking free polaroids where you can stand with her. We got two - one for the office with my entire team, and one for me!

Quis spotted the lie.

I live in Texas and my sisters live in Illinois, Massachusetts and Florida, respectively. That's two in the Central and two in the Eastern time zones.

We were all born in the 1960s (though I just made it by a few months).

Go Quis!

This is true. Technically she is my niece-in-law. She and my nephew are expecting their first child, a boy. This will be my eighth great nephew or niece.

Congratulations, Quis.

I take it by "true" you mean that that's the lie -- since she's not technically your niece -- which means I get to go next.

Tonight, I am listening to the following CDs:

1. Talk by Yes
2. Duran Duran's Greatest Hits
3. Seven Deadly Zens by Tommy Shaw

First guess is the winner!

I've listened to "Talk," Duran Duran, and Brian May's "Another World." I enjoy "Seven Deadly Zens," but didn't feel like listening to it tonight.

(And, cle, last I checked, Shaw was still with Styx which is still recording and touring sans Dennis DeYoung.)
