I have a drivers license (points A and B are often greater than I can walk, you know) but what I don't have is a credit card.
When I was younger I often watched my parents struggling with debt and I swore that would never be me. Early on I decided that (with the exception of my house) that if I couldn't afford something right then, then I could do without it. So, I never got a credit card. Some people have told me that from a credit rating standpoint, one should have a certain amount of rolling credit but, to that, I say, "Na na na na na na na na, I can't hear you," and 20 years into the work force, it's never done me a bit of harm.
Next round to Rocky.

I admire you for that, Ex. I wish I could say the same. Which is not usually a part of my regular routine. 1. Grocery shopping on Sunday nights 2. Working the evening shift on Monday nights. 3. Choir rehearsal on Tuesday nights. 4. Dinner with my mom on Wednesday nights. 5. Not having to walk Hyvvie on Thursday nights. 6. Dinner with my best friend on Friday nights. 7. Relaxing with nothing in particular planned on Saturday nights.

And we have a winner!
I have choir rehearsal on Thursday nights, which is why I usually don't have to take Hyvvie for a walk (other than a short one before bed) that evening: My best friend, Tom, usually takes care of him on Thursdays. Tom and I also go to dinner together at our favorite Mexican place most Fridays.
I usually do the major grocery shopping for the week on Sundays, I work the evening shift on Mondays, I go to my mother's for dinner every Wednesday and we watch Modern Family together (sometimes on Tuesdays and we watch Glee). Saturday is about the only evening where I don't have "usual" activity.
I guess my life is a bit predictable, but I don't mind.
Take it away, Kent.

Which of the following did not happen in my past 30 hours?
1. A drunken Australian kept shouting in his sleep all night long, waking me up every hour or so. 2. I booked a flight to attend a conference in California. 3. The youth hostel I sometimes stay at was so full of Brits and Aussies that there were no private rooms left; I was stuck on the upper berth of a bunk bed in a crowded room of eight. 4. I had breakfast at a well-known Toronto deli. 5. there was a drunken Australian passed-out in the bath tub this morning. 6. I bought a half-dozen back issues I'd missed of Adventure, Hellblazer and Last Stand on New Krypton. 7. The best part of today's research was not in the files I'd requested but materials I found on the shelf while waiting for the requested files. 8. A Drunken Australian loudly fell out of bed around 3 in the morning, stood up, and started pissing. 9. heard a woman talk about how sea crabs sometimes invade her vacation house in Cuba. 10. visited 5 bars. 11. had my first slice of pizza in a month. 12. learned after the fact that Australia Day is a late January holiday. 13. found that being left on hold on the phone isn't as bad when you're on Skype, using a headset, and free to mess around on the Internet while waiting. 14. got a Christmas card in the mail.

my friend Hilary's card arrived yesterday. But then, she didn't send it until after New Years.
Between three pub meals and whim, I did wind up at 5 bars over 30 hours.
Since I discovered my cheese allergy, I've been avoiding pizza. But I was so jonesing for a bite before heading in for the night that I had one.
hope nope and nope

Exxy,I did book my flight. Airfares had dropped $150 overnight, so I snagged it.
Did go to the CBS too. Better ones in the big city than back where I'm residing. Got those back issues, although not all the ones I'd missed.
nope & nope.

5. there was a drunken Australian passed-out in the bath tub this morning.
(guessing there are only showers, no bathtubs, in youth hostels?)

mostly showers. The closest of either to my room actually had a tub; to get to the regular showers would have been a pain in the arse given the layout of the wing I was in.
But you are correct; no passed out Aussie, even though there was a tub. I hoped with all the other drunken Aussie listings that did happen, this one might blend in to the background.
Exxy's turn!

Though I'm generally pretty open to anybody that wants to link up on Facebook, I recently did turn down a friend request.
Was the request from:
1. An estranged family member 2. An ex-girlfriend 3. A guy that used to bully me in school 4. A message-board poster that I don't really like 5. A annoying co-worker 6. A micro-managing former boss 7. A complete stranger 8. Someone I had previously "un-friended" 9. Someone who had previously "un-friended" me 10. My wife

Right out of the gate, Sharky!
Yep. My previous boss who was so controlling that she actually prevented me from working efficiently (and whose interference I suspect actually led me to getting laid off a year ago) sent me an invite that I promptly deleted without a response. "Bridge burning" and all that, I know, but that's a bridge I never want to cross again.
You're next, SL.
