ONE BILLION YEARS AGO

Element Lad finds himself stranded in space in the distant past after he and other Legionnaires are thrust outside space and time by a rift in reality. Alone and gifted with an unlimited lifespan, Element Lad watches stars being born and dying. Lonely for companionship, he eventually uses his transmutation abilities to speed up the creation of life on many worlds, which later come to worship and fear him as the Progenitor. (Legion Lost #11; Element Lad relates his story.)

[Note: Exact date is conjecture. Assumed from the title of the story (“One Billion Years of Solitude”).]

65 MILLION YEARS AGO

The last of the dinosaurs die out during earth’s Cretaceous Period. This is the last occurrence of hypertaxis (rapid evolution) and the last appearance of terrorforms (beings who protect viable seeds of new species) on earth before the 31st century A.D. The terrorforms pave the way for the rise of humanity.

[As revealed in Legion # 7.]
