The following rules were established by Kent Shakespeare at the start of the first 24-hour version, adapted from the original rules by EDE:

The rules:

1. The Basic Idea: Post to this thread, if no one posts after you for 24 hours, you win!

2. Posts that are not direct responses to one of the five preceding posts are ineligible to win. The topic can drift, but no complete non-sequitors. Posts that are responses to non-sequitors are also ineligible to win. Posts that are responses to responses to non-sequitors, and response nses to those posts, etc., become eligible, however.

3. In the event that this thread is locked, there shall be no winner unless a new thread is started for the contest. Furthermore, any post that results in the banning of the poster shall also be ineligible to win.

4. So, more precisely, one wins if one makes a post, and then no one makes another post that's eligible to win for 24 hours.

The accident stopped his brain activity. But he revives, only to be experiencing time differently! (Sci-Fi). It's called Timeslip, and other names depending on the country.

Oh noes! Thoth Lad didn't properly remove the Starro parts that cause mind control! Now the audience is... *bzzzzzt*

Good thing I've never liked any kind of casserole, and politely turned it down.

It's not common knowledge, but the economic crash of 2995 was caused by the massive drop off in cookware orders, following abandoned Starro invasions.

The market shifted heavily towards elvabird then, leading to widespread shortages

The shortage did not affect Bismollians in the least.

Bismoll would be generally safe from a lot of diseases!

As long as Drura stays off the planet.

I certainly don't want to see Bismollians suffering from indigestion...

As opposed to a Gim butt wipe.

Though as a Gim fan, I'd like to think he's sensible enough to hold it in until he's back to default height.

In the Ultimates from Marvel there is an off-hand comment from Wasp to Giant Man to be careful not to do a size change (presumably from big to small) after having recently eaten. "It can get messy!"

I'm glad Alice went to Wonderland hungry...

This thread is becoming curiouser and curiouser.

Alice in Sunderland uses Lewis Carroll and Alice's life and story, interweaving it with other tales and history of Sunderland and other bits of the north of England. Lots of different art styles. All by Bryan Talbot. Well worth a look.
