(Feel so slow. I have actually been watching the recent version for fun relaxation but the name never occurred to me.)

Ooh, the 2017 reboot? How do you like it? I binged watched it on vacation it was so good

I'm quite enjoying it so far. I never watched the original but have been a Carl Barks Duck fan for years (the type that has tried to get a copy of every single one of his stories). I knew David Tennant voiced Scrooge so that was a draw and then I saw a brief video review that extolled the series virtues. In particular the approach of letting each nephew have a distinctly different personality while maintaining the trio aspect intrigued me. I am only about 4 episodes in but I am really enjoying it. Webby is a wonderful character as well and I am curious to see how her grandmother Mrs Beakley develops. I told my (adult) son I was enjoying it as he also likes the comics but he didn't want to listen to Donald's animated voice which I have to admit is a downer for me too. I find it ridiculously hard to make out what he is saying and usually don't bother but just pick up the context. I know he has always sounded like that from his first appearance in cartoon shorts but I prefer the more understandable version in the comics. I am glad he is not the focus of the series, at least so far.

yeah, Donald gets quite a bit less screen time in the series... this one really acknowledges that nobody can understand him, there will be a few episodes where his voice becomes a fairly major plot point.

the universe-building in this series is amazing as well. there are overarching arcs and plots.

Both Webby and Mrs. Beakley also get major focus episodes later on, and I adore them both.

and indeed, the triplets will continue to develop individually as well

so you're in for quite a treat!
