I'm not at all familiar with his work, as it's mostly for Archie Comics, and I haven't bought an Archie book for 40 years! But I do hope that perhaps his association with Archie might mean that the term "Archie Legion" will finally change from an insult to a compliment. The early PZH Legion holds up pretty darn well. Also, he created the Archie Universe's first openly LGBTQ+ character, Kevin Keller. That's certainly a good sign. Sorry there's no links to relevant articles, I'm paranoid about keeping my phone virus-free. But here's his Wikipedia entry. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Parent
Still "Fickles" to my friends.

He might have an interesting "fresh take" on the series. Can't be much worse than the Bendis run, so there's that.

I think it depends on the intent of the one using it

I think "Archie Legion" was a good era. Jeff Moy and others took the "Batch SW6" characters and made the LSH more engaging and popular. The comic went to twice monthly with LSH and Legionnaires, and spun-off other titles. They sold enough to re-enter sales lists, and the creators started rising on creator annual "Bests" lists. Dan Parent should do a one-shot, at least!

I concur with Wes Connors. It's an approach to the Legion that I think has come full circle and which I would welcome back. And as EDE pointed out, the Bendis era found the Legion basically hitting rock bottom, with nowhere to go but up.

I'd totally be in. As a huge fan of the "Archie Legion" sign me the hell up.
I think Todd Nauck would also be a good pick for a Legion illustrator!

GL, that's a great suggestion! I love Todd Nauck's style. His run with Peter David on Young Justice shared a lot of the good qualities that the early Archie Legion had shown just a few years earlier. (Funnily enough, I'd already been planning to reread one of the best YJ storylines, Sins of Youth.) EDIT: Legion World official Young Justice thread: https://www.legionworld.net/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=962949&page=1And if we could get Jeff Moy to contribute as well...wow.

Right? He did the Stargirl Lost Children miniseries and all I could think about during this was "he'd be a great pick for the Reboot Legion"

All for the Archie Legion, and the hope and optimism they brought to the future!

I haven't followed Archie too closely, but don't recall any great missteps on that series - and haven't they had an uninterrupted run in some format since forever? That's not all due to Parent, but success breeds success. I'd certainly like to see what he'd do with a limited series.

I mean, the Reboot is nicknamed the Archie Legion so I feel like this sort of thing is VERY overdue.
Archie - Garth Betty - Imra Veronica - Rokk
It writes itself
