This was apparently just confirmed by his family, but artist Jason Pearson has apparently passed away from natural causes. He passed away last month, according to the post they made on his Facebook page.

Pearson worked as an artist during the Five Years Later Legion period, and is known as the creator of supporting character Monica Sade. Pearson once said he thought of the character as his child.
