This one hurts far more than any of you could possibly know for me.
Kevin Conroy, famous as perhaps the definitive voice of Batman, has been reported to have died today after a battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.
This year, Kevin also wrote a story for DC Pride 2022 detailing his experiences as an actor and gay man which I suggest all of you read if you haven't already.

I read his story in DC Pride. So powerful and moving.
As you said, Sarky, perhaps the definitive voice of Batman. My thoughts are with you and everyone whose hearts he touched, as both a fictional superhero and a noble real-life person.
Rest in peace, good sir.
Still "Fickles" to my friends.

Kevin Conroy is to Batman what Bud Colyer is to Superman.

Conroy’s story in this year’s pride anthology was easily the best.
I don’t really have much else to say. I’m speechless and sad.

Well...damn. His voice is Batman as far as I'm concerned. I'm just glad that we got to see him one time as a "live action" batman. He brought heart and depth to a character that has all to often lately seemed to be lacking it. Rest Well, Sir. I truly believe it was your acting that rescued comics characters from "funny book" status more than any other, including your counter part Michael Keaton. You and the crew showed what comics were all about in just 22 minutes a week. Thank you for the work and the care you embodied. In a sea of "heroic" voices, you stood above the rest.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Something pithy!
