very summer i panic i have dark hair and get red highlights due to the sun, now i know dark before it goes gray goes red. and every year it turns out to just be my imagine and i move on

i just found a gray hair

im twenty four years old, and coffee bitch at my job, never had a real boyfriend, and now i have gray hair

Don't sweat the gray, there's dye for that.

Don't sweat getting older because it means you're still here.

And don't sweat being coffee bitch until you've been there for 12 years and are then let go.

I wouldn't fret it, kf2f. If a grey hair meant that you've peaked, then I've been on a slow decline since I was 17!

Life gets folks down all the time, and I think everyone has moments of "I've accomplished nothing" from time to time. It's never true. I don't know you personnally, but from what I've seen on this site, you are an amazing artist. That in and of itself is a major accomplishment.

And hey, if the grey is getting you down, like Lash says, dye, but, hey, maybe go the other way and actually dye a shock of white. Go all Rogue on that do.

Its just hair. My wife is a redhead that sheds like she's a cat. My hair is thinning a little and in the mornings when I shower hair can clog the drain lightly.

The things I mentioned above have not happened, love will strike you when you've figured it has forgotten about you, you will have a passel of kids if thats what you desire, you will become a force in your job because while others are running round with there heads on sticks, you will be building a resume instead of building a case for the sack.

Heh. My hair was turning gray by the time I was twenty-four, too. It's actually not all that unusual.

A friend of mine was almost completely gray at 18, kf2f.

24 is young. don't fret! some of us are post-40 and still trying to accomplish something.

I have friends who were bald by the time they were in their early '20s. If it got to them, they never showed it.

I'm wondering if gray and white haor might not be making a comeback, actually, thanks to shows like Mad Men.

Well, I cannot relate to the hair thing...I lost mine at the tender age of 3. Not a typo, three years old. I still get some stray hairs here and there, and yeah, I find gray...sometimes shock white.

I didn't have a real girlfriend till I was 26, still married to her 13 years later.

Things will happen when they're supposed to...and if the gray bothers ya, yank it, or dye it. But try not to worry about it...it'll just give you more gray hair.

Though I wasn't nearly as young as Dev, I went bald pretty early. I had mastered creative combing by 24, kept it it all extremely short by 27 and shaved it completely by 33. It was either that or look 20 years older than I was by having that U-shaped thing on the crown of my head.

My beard, on the other hand, starting going pretty grey a few years ago. I dye it twice a week. I had no choice about bald. I refuse to be bald and grey!

My mom started going grey at 18. I never really saw it as a sign of ageing because of that.

i had a friend who started going gray in the 8th grade....so i get its not the end of world...it just feels like it

Until a few months ago, I wore a beard because I thought the grey hairs made me look distinguished.

I think my mother has started to go gray but I'm not sure. She's now in her early fifties.

Personally I'm just glad I still have hair.

hey i clean up nice....when i want to its just soo much work with the plucking, the making sure everything matches from head to toe including make up..and im lazy as hell. seriously will go days with out eating just cause i rather not cook till im starving

Tch. I've always hated the expression "clean up nice," unless we're really talking about an automobile or perhaps somebody's pet.

KF2F, you're a total hottie! No worries! You can dye your hair green or purple and totally hit a different kind of hot!

At 24 you still have all the time in the world for jobs, finding the right person, etc. All you can do is rock out, enjoy life and slowly but surely get the things you want over time.
