We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.

Wow. Really rough news to hear. I just met him this past summer after 20 years of being one of my favorite writers. I've always just kind of felt like I'd be reading his stuff forever.
I'll be thinking of him and his family.

It is encourgaing that he is reporting this himself though.
I hope things work out. He is an incredibly talented writer and we need more of his stories.

Well, the good news is that the damage is essentially confined to his motor functions, not his cognitive functions. The bad news is that the right side of his body is almost completely paralysed.
Hoping for the best, including many more comics out of him in the years to come.

He should get the new Dragon program for dictation. Sorry to hear about the stroke. I've dealt with it in my family and it's nothing to write home about at all. Pretty much sucks. I've loved his stuff for years.
