The actor who played Perry White in Christopher Reeve era Superman films has passed away. His blustery interactions with Reeve and Margot Kidder were wonderful. Go in peace.

Saddened to hear this a little earlier. He was a great Perry White. He'll be missed.

He was also once a murderer on COLUMBO.
Oddly enough, it was only a few years ago I finally managed to see him in TREASURE ISLAND. Cooper played the naive young boy who gets totally conned by this criminal scuzball. Until I saw the film, I mostly knew the story from the 2 tributes they did to it on LOST IN SPACE!

He was a veteran actor when I was still a kid, but the first time I ever saw him was in the old re-runs of the Little Rascals "Our Gang" when he himself was a child actor.

Sorry to hear this. Seems like a lot of the older actors have left recently.

He's also notable for the work he did in getting laws passed to protect child actors from various exploitations, by both studios and their parents.
One of my favorite performances by him is in the Twilight Zone episode, "Caesar and Me".

I haven't seen that episode of Twilight Zone, but you may have just inspired me to search out the ones I've missed....

Crap! I even googled it to make sure it was him rather than Jackie Coogan, and found other people making the same claim. Damn internet misleading me again!
He apparently did have a number of horror stories about being a child actor, however.
