'Quick' is tough but if you can get a red jacket, you can totally rock Michael Jackson.
I went to one as Marty McFly before but you really gotta nail the jacket on that too. All you need beside that are tight jeans and sneakers. It helps if you've got a friend that goes as Doc Brown.
Those are two of the more half-ass ones (I'm not much for putting a lot of effort into dress apparel).

Oh--rock a blazer and go as Miami Vice! You need a five o'clock shadow and its better if the blazer is blue or pink or something.

I guess a Flock of Seagulls hairdo is out of the question.

You've totally got to let us know what you decide!
I've also got the very best costume you could do: Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Tighty Whitey's, white dress shirt, socks, sunglasses. Plus everyone will think "that guy is the freaking man!".

I think I'm going to go for preppy or hair metal, as they're probably the the best I can go for considering my limited wardrobe. I'll definitely let you know what happens and will likely post pics on at least my Facebook.
I'd think about doing Risky Business Tom Cruise if it was a friends personal party but this is at a hotel and I don't think I'd be to comfortable walking there looking like that with all the tourists around. Plus I have no idea what other type of people are going to be there so I'd rather not have random strangers feeling me up.

A polo shirt that's too tight with a popped collar and aviator sunglasses might work well enough.

Yeah, pulling a 'Risky Business' at a hotel could lead to all kinds of complications...

Ah, I forgot about this thread. The party totally blew serious amounts of chunks. Only like 2 people danced at a time, not everyone was in costume, and there were only like 15 people there. People were mainly just parked at the bar. I only spent like an hour or so there I was so disappointed.
I dressed kind of causal nerdy club style with some faded ripped light blue jeans, a vintage Batman t-shirt (from the 1st Tim Burton movie), a black wristband, and some goggle-like sunglasses.
