I've been lax in bringing college football to Legion World this year... I admit it. So here's a lil' KP football action to make up for it!!!
1. HOLY CRACKERS AND CHEEZ! Who was that 90-year-old man the Gators knocked over when they ran out??? I thought they were going to have to send the doctors out BEFORE the game even starts!!!

2. John McCain sure did look uncomfortable having to shake all those hands.
Posted by Kid Prime on :
3. HOLY CRAP!!! Ohio State runs a kickoff return all the way back for a touchdown!!! Damn. Florida's in shock. Geez.

4. Tim Tebow is a machine.

5. TOUCHDOWN GATORS! They ain't scared!

Well? Don't make me look for the remote KP.

End of 1st quarter update....
Florida 21 Ohio State 7
Posted by Kid Prime on :
Ted Ginn Jr. - looking like he's out for the game. Also, OSU is looking somewhat gimpy without him.
On the other hand, score is now 21-14. But... it's not looking great for Buckeye Nation.
I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but... GO GATORS! I don't think there's any doubt that the SEC is the best conference in the nation.

And after yet ANOTHER disgusting Ohio State turnover, it's 34-14, Gators, going into the half. Oh my.
Ohio State looks horrible tonight. And Florida looks unstoppable.

Yeah, the OSU team seems to be way out of whack. Florida scored on 6 of 7 possessions in the half. I'm not a big fan of the Gators but I have to admit to being very impressed so far tonight.

Emmett Smith doing the Gator chomp was a very special moment indeed.
On the negative side, no Janet Jackson halftime show.

Really impressive win for the Gators. Is that four out of the last ten national championships to the SEC? Us Southern boys can play some ball. Makes me a little prouder of my Vanderbilt Commodores for putting a team on the field at all.

I know this is the BCS we're talking about, but jeez Kippers, Vee and the rest, did you see that Boise State/OK madness?!!
Hook & Ladder!!!!
Two point conversion!!! But wait, not just a 2 point conversion...a STATUE OF LIBERTY!!!!!
Plays that every kid across the USA have tried in every touch football game since they were like 4 years old! I've been waiting for a statue of liberty since I was old enough to fall down with a football in my hands!
Oh yeah, and GREAT season Notre Dame--but *choke* why do you do it to me so badly in the Bowl games?
This has been a great year for College Football, although I've been loathe discuss it without a KP-offically stamped thread!

Notre Dame does it to you in bowl games because they're finally playing competitive teams. They need to get into a conference STAT for anyone to take Charlie's rebuilding seriously.

The Big East would love to have 'em. Especially since they're already in the Big East for basketball. Plus, the Big East's light conference schedule (8 games) would allow ND to keep playing USC, Michigan, Navy, and Michigan State every year. And if Notre Dame balks at that (that limits us in our scheduling, etc...) well, times change. I'm an Alabama fan, born and bred, and I can speak from experience. The Bear's dead. If a program doesn't grow and change with the times, the times will roll right over the program.

Does this make Boise State the national champs? They were the only team to go undefeated...

Yeah! My wife went to Florida school of vet medicine. And I have a tons of friends that went to Florida. I have been a UF fan since high school and wanted to attend (but went to USF instead).
I grew up here and it was always about UF, FSU, and Miami. You know how many great pros came out of those schools?
Georgia, LSU? They are awesome teams. I am just talking about the south in general. The Texas teams rock. The California teams do as well. USC can be champs practically every year it seems.
I read a big conspiracy piece on Yahoo about the Big East. And well it makes sense. They hype the teams b/c football is so big in the midwest AND so they don't have to compete with schools in larger media outlets (the Northeast, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
They were just going on about how much of a layoff both teams had. Yeah great time for a playoff!
