Thomas Jane as the Punisher??? Well it wasn't as bad as I thought. BUT it wasn't very good either. You know the lines/writing were just bad.
Thomas Jane's body ofcourse made me work out twice as hard today. Damn him. I actually have the Men's Health with his Punisher workout. It's like 4 to 6 hours a day. yeah right.
The highlight for me? TAMPA! Yeah I grew up minutes away from every scene in the movie. I still live minutes away from every scene in the movie. And usually see all those sights on a weekly basis.
Little Cuba is actually Ybor City. Good place for anyone to go to on a weekend. Warning...be ready to party. And for anyone going to tampa...ybor is just a neighborhood not an actual city. Old cuban settlement I think in the USA. Turn of the last century.
Ohwell i bought the DVD cause it had my city in it.

I had that dvd on while I did something else. It never drew my attention away. However, it is cool when a movie is filmed where you live. I understand that.

The first one actually might've had a better script (though it needed work). It was hard to get into a Punisher that took place in Florida. I also thought it was a mistake to include Ennis' characters. The Punisher isn't about a guy who loses a family just to find another one. I wasn't crazy about the idea of the Punisher having one main enemy either. The Punisher's war should be all inclusive because he's just that crazy -- this made it seem like any other revenge story.
Oh, and who decided on the Russian's outfit? What the hell was that?!?!

Drake, I should've know the misfits he lived with were Ennis' characters. There is nothing Ennis writes I like. I thought they were stupid...his neighbors I mean.
The russian outfit was a joke.
The building were Travolta had his headquarters is a really nice place. I've been there for an engagement party and may get married there myself.
Hopefully the next Punisher flick is better and we get to see him take crime down...not just one organization.

Oh yeah, and the whole plot where he tricks Travolta into betraying those close to him was way unPunisher-like. This isn't "Mission Impossible" after all...
