Nano-bot superhero. He's got super speed, super strength, super vision, can interface with computers and has a girlfriend who should play Saturn Girl. What more could you want? OK, there's also the villainous conspiracy wanting to take him out, and the unstable nanobots coursing through his body, whcih may also take him out.
But for my money, there ain't nothing else in this new tv season I'd rather watch. (bad grammar for emphasis only!)

We were going to watch it right after Enterprise but Angel's season premier was on. And since Willow was guesting Caroline had to watch it.
But Jake 2.0 makes me wonder if Showtime cancelled their alien invasion series. Can't remember the name but the kid who stars in Jake was one of the main characters on that show.

The first episode was somewhat enjoyable. I can't tell if his upturned color is meant to be "cool" or to emphasize that he's a dork -- I kinda felt like I was watching an '80's show (he even reminded me of Rick Springfield a coupla times). The little sound effect when he uses his nanobots reminded me of "The Six Million Dollar Man". I'll stick with it for now -- seems kinda fun, but ultimately a light show. We'll see where it goes.

I did not see it, since I was watching Big Brother 4 - I was rooting for both Alison and Jun, the two biggest best motherf****ing bitches of them all in all of TV realities - Hey, Survivors, beat that!
I hope that Jun wins the HOH...but who knows?

are you saying the premier of angel was on last night? If anyone in canada is watching, do they know if SPACE played it yet, or is it on tonight like every other time>?

My bad Lab. My Tivo said it was a new episode but I just looked and the premier isn't scheduled until October 1. So this must have been from near the season finale last season. We haven't watched it yet so I don't know for sure. Come to think of it Cordy was featured in the commercial I caught and I know she isn't coming back so it must have been a repeat.

I enjoyed it. It was kinda like "Greatest American Hero meets the Six Million Dollar Man". I like that he's kind of a dork. I hope that they keep him that way, rather than make him Joe Cool Super Spy. And I'd like to keep seeing little oopsies with his powers (like when he jumped up to grab that pipe and accidently hit his head on the ceiling--- THAT was a cute touch).
This could be a fun series to watch, sort of like Smallville, but with a slightly dorkier lead character. And Christopher Gorham is both a cutie pie and an endearing actor.

Honestly, I'm not too hopeful -- it reminds me of other failed shows like "John Doe" and "Now and Again" (is that what it was called? "Then and Now", "Once and Again"? Not the Seela Ward show...). Granted, there's less pressure on UPN, but we'll see what happens...

Weren't those shows on Friday? I know John Doe was. It seems like almost every show on Friday gets the ax. Maybe Jake will make it on Wednesday. *crosses fingers*

DM: I didn't see all of "Jake 2.0", but it may take more than crossed fingers (and Wednesday) to save it. I think Chris Gorham had a much better show with "Popular" than in "Jake 2.0".
(Forgive me Queen Crujectra, if I've offend you. Although I do agree Chris is too cute.)

I'm hoping that the show is popular enough to warrant a Season One DVD *crosses fingers*
