If there really NEEDED to be proof that the honky afro has come into vogue, that proof can be found on the current Real World: Philedelphia season!
Not one but TWO of the whiteys have afros! (M.J. and Landon)
Otherwise, this season is shaping up to be kinda been there, done that.
Next week, everyone gets freaked out when the gay guy (who does NOT have an afro, by the way, and is therefore obviously behind the times) brings home a friend and they have a little nude frolic. Word is bare ass is seen! Do people still get freaked out by gay guys? One would think 10-plus years of Real World would have cured that...

Maybe it is 'been there, done that', Lash, but I liked this group of kids much more than the last few (which means the ratings'll probably sink like a stone...)
The guy from Nashville-- M.J., I think? The blond one? He looks *exactly* like a bust of Alexander the Great I've seen. Creepily so.
This cast has two gay guys (so far )-- which is a first, I think.
I passed on the last season, but I think I'll watch this one (though I've already missed an episode, somehow).

M.J. is the blonde beafroed guy. Landon is his partner in comedy and honky-afrodom (and the cuter of the two, to me).
There are TWO gay guys this season? They certainly weren't featured in the 2 eps I saw today. Caught a glimpse and a wee bit of dialogue from one, that's it. Wasn't even aware of a second.

The tall African-American dude is the other gay guy. Kam_____? Don't remember his name. He's meant to be a contrast to the effeminate gay guy, I think.

Believe me, Toddkins, I could get lost in Landon's afro forever and be quite fine with it. M.J. wears his well too, but Landon gets my motor revving faster.

Plus M.J. is all Mr. bristling with Confidence-I-Can-get-Any-Chick guy, which is a turnoff for me, whereas Landon is more of a shyer, sweeter type, which totally turns me on!

Oh, I believe it , all right. Maybe Supah-Honky-Afro Crackah should be a new character in MEL:TS... I guess Landon isn't a crackah, though, is he?
They're both cute... but I think Landon's got a little bitchiness beneath all that goofball charm. Maybe I'm wrong... The other guy... M.J. (wonder if he reads Spider-man?) seems direly serious in comparison. Hope he lightens up.
Doesn't matter... I watch REAL WORLD for the important *social* experimentation *snicker*...
