We can go no further without discussing that hair.

It looks like something an artist made up, but no.

 -

See Ginger Rogers as the title character of Kitty Foyle. She had to wear a lot of dubious hairdos for the role but she won the Academy Award for it anyway.

 -
See? Card Queen!

Hmm.

Of course, Ginger is best known for her movies with Fred Astaire, and I think there's a great potential there for a serial of some sort: professional dance partners who, in their travels, are secretly spies or superheroes or something. You know, like Wanda & Vihz's neighbors up in Leonia (although NOT jewel thieves, please). Or Alice Marble, the tennis player/espionage agent...

...and "All-American Comics" employee.

See for yourself. Click the pic below to see F&G kick some (metaphorical) ass. (Don't miss the very end.)

Their friends next to them there take the more literal approach. (Action starts 4 mins in. Note: end of episode, so spoilerish.)

Something was already going in Trish Town.

Hmm, Ginger's a Golden Age of Hollywood luminary. Golden Lantern?

Platinum Lantern?

Or, better yet, she could tap another from the iconic cohort and they could be...

GLAM LANTERNS

It's only appropriate. Veronica Lake's frequent costar was Alan Ladd

...and Alan Ladd was the inspiration for another bright light of the 1940s.

That's some hair, Trish.

I just got up to pee, and then came here to confirm that all things lead to Trish.

And now I'm going back to bed to dream of Teeds in that hairdo.

Etta Candy Pre-Wonder Woman

Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :

Candy first appeared in Police Comics.

She's in this issue, but not on the cover. There wasn't room. Check out the hair on this Miss:

I'm starting to think that Candy be the crazy one.

I'm starting to think Candy, the series in general, was as scary as Tales from the Crypt.

Trish, Candy, and Ted remind me of animals wearing human skins.

Maybe they are Warwolves ?

Those metallic baddies from the early Excalibur stories that 'ate' people's insides and then wore their skins ... but they exhibited crazy canine qualities while masquerading as humans.

 -

 -

 -

(These are scenes from when they 'eat' Kitty after they find out she is not Rachel ... who they were sent after ... but FORTUNATELY *whew* ... her phasing power interacts weirdly with the Warwolves eating ability ... and she ends up taking over the Warwolf that tried to eat her. )

I mean ... Candy's totally chasing her tail ... and it would explain all the teeth Candy and crew are always showing ... Ted's like an approval seeking pup ... Candy's hyperactive ... and Trish .... looks rabid.

You are not surprised by this are you?

Power Boy's scholarship concerning the warwolves connection makes a fine addition to the field of Trishology. Indeed, one can see how the cover of Candy #62 directly influenced the denouement of Excalibur Vol. 1 No. 2.

Video directed by Howard Greenhalgh, who also did Suede's The Wild Ones:

 -
See? More card tricks from a ginger.

I don't know if Suede fought warwolves, but they chased the dragon all right.

Two early members of Suede went on to form

 -

Don't understand how the last card is played?
But somehow the vital connection is made.

Does Trish have a last name? Yes she does. It's Traynor.

Don't we know another Traynor? Yes we do.

[Pantha]

^ That Graemlin may refer to Gene being drop dead gorgeous ... or Candy's imminent Superboy Prime-esque breakdown. As you like.

Gene Tierney entertained many during her life, and continues to do so. She had a great deal of misfortune, and I hope that she had her share of love and peace, as well.

Lift the lanterns high for Gene Tierney.

PS: I've long thought she had the most beautiful name.

With the rapid growth -- nay, explosion -- in the field of Trishology, we'd like to clarify to new scholars that the final word in the thread title refers to the wild ideas, amazing, excellent definition. You know, as in the "You so CRAZY, I think I wanna have your BABY" sense.

While Cobie contemplates having Trish's baby*, please click the pic and welcome a whole LOT of ladies who know a thing or two about glam.

Trish and Candy think: We know not the Barry, Arnold, and Denzel of whom they speak, but we are intrigued and wish to subscribe to their newsletter.

*leave it to Cobie to figure out how to do this
