I am slowly gathering the old back issues of All Star from the seventies featuring the JSA. Does anyone here that is a fan know the numbering of the ADVENTURE comics that featured the JSA?

I really would appreciate the help.

Thanks, Rick.

I believe it was #461-466. That would have been the January thru December issues of 1979.

The Adventure run includes the storyline where the Earth 2 Batman died. Then there was the story of how the JSA was forced to break up because of McCarthy era politics. Good luck finding them. They are worth the effort. I also loved the Joe Staton art. I never liked his Legion, but his JSA was excellent.

Scott's year sounds tight; I don't recall the issue numbers.

Death of Batman was a 2-parter; a follow-up features the JSA hunting down a sorceror involved in the event.
There was a stand-alone involving a race to save Gotham City before some sort of WMD went off; that one was kinda lame.
And there was a flashback to the previously untold final Golden Age JSA story, as told by Huntress to PG. "THe man who defeated the Justice Society," or somrthing like that. It was pretty neat; this story picked up right after the funeral of Mr. Terrific, who was offed in the annual JLA/JSA team up that year (JLA 171-2, if memory serves). This was the finale of the JSA run in Adventure.

that's 5; I don't recal lwhat the 6th would have been.

Just checked the Comic Book DB and it does look like it was issues #461-466. Here's the info for #461 and you can page to each subsequent issue.

Don't forget the entire 70s run of JSA including those ADV stories from the $1 comics line of the time are in TPB! I bought both TPBs even though I have the original issues. WORTH IT!

It's a solo Wildcat story.
