Well? Granted, I don't think anyone lives in Gotham City, but...

So I live in Hamden, CT, which is right near New Haven, CT, the former home of Jack of Hearts!

But even better than that, I work (and have been for a few years) in Stamford, CT, which was blown to smithereens in Civil War #1! And now, after surviving that awful tragedy that split the Marvel U, Stamford is also the HQ of Avengers: the Iniatitive. I'll let you know if Ms. Marvel and Wonder Man are seen canoodling near my building.

Anyone else work near super-heroes?

Well, Wonder Woman did make Boston her home for a bit. I also read a golden age story where WW & Steve Trevor travel to Boston, then Revere & Salem, Massachusetts.

I think Nemesis when he was the back up feature in the Brave & the Bold was also based in Boston.

Dr. Fate had his Tower in Salem, Massachusetts.

I live in the Toronto area, which, according to Jim Munroe's fine novel Flyboy Action Figure Comes With Gasmask, is home to the SSJ (Superheroes for Social Justice), Flyboy and Ms. Place (and Alien Girl).

I don't know of any others, but I suppose there might be some.

The Doom Patrol was briefly based in my metro area, Kansas City.

Though they're defunct now, both X-Force and the West Coast Avengers were, at one time, chillin' near me in San Francisco. Of course, I'm not there anymore, either, so it's okay. (I forgive you, Sammy.)

Rumor has it that Jack Knight, the former Starman, is around, too. But he blends too well without the giant flying spade thingy.

I remember reading a Batman story when I was a kid where he traveld to Houston. The Riddler had used "Hobby" as a clue and Alfred suggested that he was referring to Hobby Airport.

That's the closest thing I know of.

I'm in New York now. So super-heroes are like movie stars - we pretend not to notice them.

Hulk and Betty moved to South Florida after the fall of the Pantheon -- unfortunately, that was also when Peter David's run jumped the shark. [Frown]

Still, 90 consecutive issues in a row that were never less than good, that's some achievement.

In Astro City Atlanta's superhero is called the Real Thing. I hope any Atlanta based hero either flies or has super-speed, because the traffic here's murder.

We actually REQUESTED the Thunderbolts be based here in Colorado. And not them damn whiny ones- we wanted Venom and GG!

In Salt Lake City? You're kidding, right? Not even the indy creators who came from this neck of the woods would based their heroes out of Happy Valley.

The Punisher? Atleast the movie version did. I bought that movie just cause I live 5 minutes away from all the locations.

Max Mercury and Impulse lived in Alabama for a while.

(Looks around) Nope, I guess the super-hero connection doesn't make it any cooler. Well, it IS only Max Mercury, after all.

Well to my knowledge the nearest any comic got to my home town was back in Force Works because they were based in Ventura.
